Space Tech

Special Projects

Pinnacle were contracted to ship, transport and install into final position 4 x 335te engines, 4 x 78te generators and 2 x 76te transformers plus all associated ancillary equipment from Northern Europe through to a new build power station in West Africa.

WEST AFRICA

This was managed in 2 separate shipments per chartered geared vessels. It was a challenging project in that all the heavylift installation and transport equipment had to be shipped in as there was no equipment of its type at the destination. Also 76 power lines had to be either lifted or taken down on the route to the site, along with civil engineering works to roads and bridges along the pre-planned route to support such heavy loads. Despite many challenges, including the locals being without power temporarily, all obstacles were overcome and Pinnacle successfully delivered on time, to pin point accuracy and within budget.

Marine Insurance

Do you insure your home, your car, your holiday? Why wouldn’t you insure your goods?

At Pinnacle we are able to offer Global Marine Insurance cover for any mode of transport at competitive rates. Marine Insurance doesn’t just cover conveyances by ocean but all modes of transport from door to door.

These images are of the vessel Mol Comfort which after 7 days of raging fires sank with all containers on board. It was travelling from the Far East to Europe in July 2013. Mol Comfort had over 4,500 containers on it, at the time. Customers without Marine Insurance cover were left without their goods, with no way to claim for their loss and liable for all charges still associated with the shipping movement.

Without insurance, a carrier’s liability is limited in accordance with their terms & conditions, which means you’ll get next to nothing back in the event of loss or damage, if you get anything at all.
