Keyword Search

Provides text-to-speech functions for all information on netTrekker d.i. pages, for text on web resources accessed from any Search Result, and for definitions accessed by using the Dictionary Hot Key

Hint: Read Aloud is only functional on pages of the original site netTrekker has pointed to. If a user clicks ona link within that site that points to a new site, rather than to a different page within that site, the Read Aloud feature no longer functions.

Get definitions and/or translations for any word on a website.

View a movie on using the dictionary hot key!

The Dictionary Hot Key turns every word on a dictionary-enabled site into a hotlink. Clicking on the link pops open a small dictionary window that displays a definition of that word.

Timelines are available for many famous people

With the People & Events Timeline, you can explore the surrounding eras, events, arts, innovations, discoveries and famous people which occurred or lived during the same time period.

If you see this icon next to a search term, that means a timeline is available.

To save your search results, click on the images you want to keep and click “save search.”

To save the image to your computer, click on the thumbnail tow times until the picture appears in its own window. Then right click on the image, and choose “Save Picture As...”

Save all, or part, of your Search Result, Timeline, or Standards Search, then share those results with others in your class, school or district.
