Welcome to the 2015 Spring Season atDéda. Now that our newly extended
building is fully up and running again, thisprogramme reflects the pride and ambitionwe feel for our fantastic facility.
We have diversified what we do to includedance, circus and physical theatre in order togive a wider choice to audiences. We haveaerial equipment installed in Studio 1 andthis means we are introducing a range ofclasses to our Adult and Academy Classprogramme. Come along and try the Trapeze,Hoop, Silks or Rope to master a new skill orjust to release your inner circus performer –see page 10 for details.
Our dance class offer is the best in the city socome along and get moving in your favouriteclass or maybe try something different for2015. With the start of our BA Dance degree,‘Learning’ at Déda is truly for everyone.
The circus theme is carried through into ourperformance programme with Stefano Di
Stephen Munn Director
Renzo presenting his hilarious show On My Waywhich is packed full of spectacular juggling, slackwire and trick mayhem – a must for all thefamily. Aakash Odedra visits Derby fresh fromhis international tour of Inked & Murmur – adouble-bill that really illustrates how dance and digital projection can be integrated tomesmerising effect.
Our very own resident company, WinterWalker, premieres its new family show Three Keepersin February. This magical show tells the tale of three larger-than-life characters and thelighthouse they call home.
Another programme highlight for me is thefantastic Last Man Standing by James WiltonDance. If you like fast, furious and no-holds-barred movement this is for you – dance at itsphysical best.
