Dear Colleague,Over the past 12 months the decommissioning industry in the Gulf of Mexico has seen an unprecedented boom in offshore decommissioning projects – the implementation of the Idle Iron NTL in October 2010 has accelerated decommissioning in the region and will continue in 2012 and beyond!

For the first 6 months of 2011, the industry has abandoned 671 wells and removed 62 structures from the offshore continental shelf. This trend is expected to accelerate with operators making a real push to plug wells and abandon structures.

The decommissioning industry in the Gulf of Mexico is estimated to be worth between $30 - $40bn and experts predict that around 1200 wells will be plugged and abandoned every year and that 150 structures will be removed.

Decommissioning offshore structures is costly, technically challenging and potentially hazardous both to the workforce and the environment. With operators eager to reduce project risk and minimize costs, careful planning and common sense strategies need to be put in place.

DecomWorld has kept up with the latest projects, market trends and innovative technologies in the region to provide you with the answers that you need:

> Regulations and Permitting

> New Technological Innovations

> Designing for Decommissioning

> Improving Offshore Safety

> Deep Water Strategies

> Subsea Decommissioning

> Diving and ROV Challenges

> Cutting Techniques

> Pipeline Abandonment Strategies

> Cost Reduction & Estimation

> Environmental Hurdles

> Well P&A Standards

The 4th Annual Decommissioning & Abandonment Summit will bring together over 800 experts under one roof to receive up-to-the-minute business intelligence that touches on every element of decommissioning.

Register today by making use of the early booking discounts (either using the booking form enclose in this brochure or via our secure website)

I look forward to seeing you in Houston, TX in March 2012.

Kindest Regards
