deck the halls for TTBB Chorus, Handbells and Five Criers

Premiered December, 1992 at Carnegie Hall, New York City

by the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus, Gary Miller, Conductor

    Duration: 4:20 minutes

    Program Note

This piece was composed for my dear friend Gary Miller, founder and conductor of the New York City Gay Men's Chorus. The piece was written and premiered at the NYCGMC's annual Christmas concert held in Carnegie Hall in December 1992. It was requested that I write a piece that would bring the singers onto the stage. Thus, I used the music to deck that hall, Carnegie Hall, with voices. Singers would enter from various places in the hall and being a festive musical decoration of the entire performance space.
