Attention!!! Caravan is coming!!! Wednesday, September
6th marks the beginning of our 3rd Caravan year. The Lord has
used Caravan in many ways to reach the community, as well
as to support the growth of our young people in
many ways, including spiritual, emotional, and
physical. In order to continue to support
this worthwhile ministry, we are in need
of three teachers/guides.
Our time is short, but our God is big. Please contact Hannah
Baird (724. 570.2983), Pastor Ryan Baird (412.716.7356), or
the church office (412.831.6333) if you would be interested in
helping to guide the youth of our community through our
Caravan ministry. Caravan runs in line with the school year,
so we are looking for volunteers with availability on
Wednesday evenings running through Mid-May.
Caravan Kick-off: Caravan is here again! The first night
of Caravan is Wednesday, September 6, 6:45–8:15PM in the
Fellowship Hall…welcoming children from 4 years old to 6th
grade.
Registration forms are available online at shcn.org, at the
Take One Stand in the foyer, or on the small table just outside
of the church office. For more information please contact
Pastor Ryan or Hannah Baird.
Please continue to keep all of our ministries in your prayers.
Women’s Evening Bible Study
The Women’s Evening Bible Study will be starting back up on Friday, September 15 at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. This session, we will be studying the Gospel of John. The cost of the study guide is $5.75. Please contact Joanne Marsh at 412.352.5684 or email her at [email protected] to sign up.
Part-time Volunteers are needed to provide childcare for WEBs and Men Seeking God (same time-same evening). Our current sitters are all in West Mifflin’s marching band! Because of their schedule, we are looking for 2 volunteers to “fill the gaps” until their band duties are done. Which will be sometime in November/December. We meet two Fridays a month. To volunteer, contact Joanne Marsh at 412.352.5684 or email her at [email protected].
Men Seeking God
Sometimes Christ’s urging us to ‘be in the world but not of it’ feels all but impossible. Men of the church, join us as we begin The Truth Project and learn how Biblical truths can help us keep hearts and minds on God to protect ourselves and our families from the world. This study is a DVD-based lesson with discussion following. We’ll meet in the Children’s Chapel starting September 15th at 6:30 pm.
Please contact Greg Szrama at [email protected] or Joe Fannie at [email protected] for any questions you may have, or just to tell us you’re interested!
