IMPORTANT DATES

YMCA Field Trip – 5th Grade – December 15th

Winter Break – December 22 – January 2

Congratulations to our very own Turkey Queen!

Ms. Adamonis and Mrs. Clark are very proud of the students who were able to support the

school food drive. We know all of you try to be involved in community service. We will keep

trying to support this behavior at school.

5TH SOCIAL STUDIES

This week we wrapped up our Civil War reenactment. The kids were excited to be put in to regiments, make life changing decisions, and help their fellow soldiers try to survive the perils of war. We will be working on our South East lap books in class as well as focusing a bit deeper on the specific states for the next week and a half.

4TH LANGUAGE ARTS

I am so proud of the 4th graders! The kids are working on their first, five paragraph essay and are nearly complete. Many students are in the conferencing stage and are doing a great job. We’re studying homophones and doing a lot of fun classwork practice.

4TH SOCIAL STUDIES

“We’re ready to move on!” said the Jamestown settlers. The 4th grade feels the same about the initial settlement. We’re taking a look at how the capitol of Virginia moved from Jamestown, to Williamsburg, to Richmond.
