6 Pence Artist Spotlight: Locally Made Jewelry
Lisa Schmidt of Lisa's Local Color
At 6Pence, as the holidays approach, we are
excited to feature the very popular jewelry made by
Lisa Schmidt! Lisa has been creating both vintage
and contemporary jewelry for about 12 years. Most
of her pieces are one of a kind, and Lisa says that
when a color or material idea strikes...she has to
drop everything and make it! Seasons are
sometimes reflected in a piece, and the nature around her yard and woods are often
a creativity factor. Lisa puts her heart and soul into her jewelry, and creates what she
likes, and hopes you like it too!
Jessica Louise Lynn of Adornments byJessica Louise Lynn
Jessica's jewelry is all handmade using traditional
metalsmithing techniques, and her designs range from
whimsical and fun to more abstract artistic pieces. Jessica
tends to create pieces that have a rugged, rustic, earthy
quality, but she is also drawn to high fashion, big city
scenes and upscale nightlife. Instead of fighting these two
natural and equally influential instincts, she embraces both.
Jessica's jewelry is practical yet attractive, and is suitable for everyday wear, from
backyard campfires to the martini club, or the office to the tapas restaurant.
...And don't forget, we have LorenzoCristaudo's lampworked glass ornamentsagain this year to add a touch of crystallinebeauty to your holiday!
