A Few Words from the Parent Association As the first Semester comes to a close we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all those who participated in our fundraising efforts. We wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and see you all in January for the new semester.

Did You Know??? O’Sensei, the founder of our karate style spent his first 7 years of training learning one kata. The kata was Sanchin which is the fundamental kata of the Naha te System.

6th Annual Yobukan Tournament

On November 4 Yobukan Karate held their 6th Annual Karate Tournament. It was a great tournament for all competitors to see old friends from near and far. Yobukan Karate Club had 31 competitors and brought home 49 medals. 18 medals in Kata, 5 medals in Team Kata, 4 medals in Flag Kumite, and 22 medals in Kumite. Congratulations to all who participated.
