MBC Christmas Program

On Sunday Evening - Dec 15th at 6 pm - enjoy our Christmas Program - ‘Daddy, Tell Me the Christmas Story’. It is a moving musical drama of a family preparing for the Christmas season...while recounting how the babe born in a manager

became the Savior of the World! Begin spreading the word by helping to pass out our ’INVITE’ tickets available in the

Narthex!! A nursery for infants & toddlers will be provided.

Celebrating Advent Together as a Family at Maplewood

We’ve begun the countdown till Christmas known as Advent. May we be reminded,

in the midst of the busyness...the shopping, parties and decorating...the programs to

attend and travel plans to arrange, presents to buy and cookies to bake...it can be easy to get

to Christmas and forget to reflect on the true reason for the season - the birth of Christ!

That’s where Advent comes in. The four weeks before Christmas are a great time to slow down

and begin to ponder the true meaning of this joyous season. As we spend time with family

decorating our homes with garland and trimming our trees with ornaments & lights...may we

take some deliberate steps to infuse our lives with hope, peace, joy and love in order to better

celebrate and live out the truth of this season by sharing Christ with others this Christmas.

Hope you’ll join us, as we travel to the manger & reflect upon the birth of the ‘Christ-child’!!

We’re now receiving our annual Christmas LOVE OFFERING for

our church staff. You may use ANY envelope and simply mark it

STAFF Love Gift. If you write a check, please make it payable to

Maplewood and write on the memo line “Staff Love Gift.” We’ll

receive this offering through Sunday (am) - Dec. 22, and plan on

presenting it to them after the Church-Wide Christmas Caroling

Party later that afternoon!

Every Church. Every Nation.

It’s more than a catch phrase. The IMB believes every church - and every church member - has a critical role to play in bringing the

gospel to the world. Your church’s participation in the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is a key part of that. Every dollar you give

transforms lives, because 100% of the money collected goes to the work of reaching every nation with the Good News!

We’ll receive this offering through Dec 29th. Last year - you gave $ 13,595

Church-Wide Christmas Caroling Party Sunday - Dec 22nd - 4 pm

Let’s gather to share some Christmas cheer in song

with our “shut-ins”!!

Family Christmas Social Sunday Evening - Dec 8th - 5 till 8 pm

Enjoy Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, BYOS (Bring Your Own Soup), Dessert PLUS a hot chocolate bar!! Afterwards, we’ll watch the movie - ‘Polar Express’. Please SIGN UP

on the sheet at the mailbox table - indicating what kind of soup or dessert you plan on brining!

Because of your faithfulness to sacrificially support the mission & ministry of Maplewood - we’ve exceeded our 2019 Ministry Budget. We’d like to encourage you to prayerfully consider designating your General Fund Offering to ANY of the following areas: (It is helpful,

if you would clearly mark your designations on your envelope - THANKS!)
