CAE Meeting

On December 8 a meeting with CAEs and Chief Risk Officers was held.

The following initiatives and issues were discussed:

Create a platform for active discussions on the Institute website or

LinkedIn/Facebook,

Create a library of best-practice working-papers, IA charter,

Survey Institute members about upcoming preferable trainings,

Establish a professional group for public sector auditors.

Implementation Guidance Released

The IIA has released new Implementation Guides – recommended guidance

within the IPPF – addressing four standards in the 1200 and 2100-2400 series.

The guides provide auditors with recommendations on how to best implement

each standard, supporting conformance with The IIA’s Standards.

Preparing for Standards Enhancements

Practitioners around the world weighed in on proposed changes to The

IIA’s International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal

Auditing earlier this year, and the resulting changes and updates will become

effective on 1 January 2017.
