C ETP, M.I.D.C, Solapur was arranged on

“Waste Water Treatment”. Various methods of

treatment to convert waste water into usable

and drinking water were discussed. Students of

Science faculty benefited.

Department of Microbiology founded

“Microbiologists” society students unit on

13/8/1016. Fifty four students are enrolled.

B. Programme Conducted by NSS Department

Drugs Awareness Day ;

The day was inaugurated on 27th june 2016.

The subject of the day was to oppose the use of

the drugs. Mr. Gaikwad the PI of the Jodbhawi

Police Station Solapur was invited to give the

lecture. how to avoid the use of drugs. There

were 117 students were present main motto of the

event was “ Avoid use of Drugs.”

The Dug Digging (Shramdan) :

The dug digging event was conducted on 29th

June 2016 at Hatturesang Kudal in collaboration

with Lokmangal Foundation, Solapur. 62 NSS

volunteers were participated in this event. 105

Dugs were digged by NSS volunteers.

The Tree Plantation :

The tree plantation event was conducted on 01st

July 2016 at 09.30am in Dayanand College campus

250 plants planted. chief Gust this occasion of Dr.

Deshpande, The Joint Director of Solapur Division,

Prin. Dr. S. K. Vadagbalkar, Dr. V. P. Ubale,

Programme Officer Dr. V. C. Dande and other.

The event was conducted on 12th july 2016

under Soregaon SRPF camp. One program

officer and 36 NSS Volunteers attended this

event. The NSS Volunteers got the information

about shastrsatha.

Screening Programmee :

This event was conducted by „Kirloskar

Vasandhura International film festival‟ on 20th

Aug 2016. 76 students attended the film

This event was conducted by Solapur

University, Solapur on dated 22nd

Aug 2016.

52 NSS Volunteers and 02 program officers were

participated in this rally the way of rally was from

Hutatma Chowk to Gandhi Nagar.

Inauguration Function of NSS :

The inauguration of NSS on 23rd

aug 2016 at

11am. The chief guest of this program was Dr.

Wadagbalkar Principal and special guest was

B.N. Kamble. The cultural programme was held

at 02.30pm at Velankar hall. The NSS volunteers

arranged as well as participated in the cultural

program. Ex Volunteers Unit started from this

year.

NSS Karyaprasiddhi Saptah was

organized by NSS department. On

inauguration day. The chief guest was

Shri. Prabhu Salgavkar, editor of Dainik

Rajshekhar Shinde, Prin. Kadam D G and NSS Dr. V.C. Dande were present and

NSS Volunteer were present. The prize distribution was held on this day.
