Those who differ cannot seem to agree on another candidate." - Roger Ebert. Happy sledding!

The Music Hall is thrilled to have established a three-year partnership with C&J Bus Lines to create a fantastic holiday tradition on the Seacoast: the Ogunquit Playhouse at the Music Hall. This series brings Broadway shows to the Historic Theater in Portsmouth each December. This year, the classic tale set in New England, Irving Berlin’s: White Christmas, the Musical comes to life on stage as a part of this unique series.

According to The Music Hall’s Director of Institutional Advancement Gail VanHoy Carolan, C&J Bus Lines is “the ideal sponsor” for this series. “With their luxury services tying New York and Ogunquit together, along with their commitment to the community and families within Portsmouth and the region, C&J was the perfect corporate partner for this collaboration,” said Carolan.

Founded in 1968, C&J Bus Lines has become a regional icon, providing unique, safe, and dependable transportation to over 700,000 passengers each year. C&J offers daily bus service from NH’s Seacoast area, as well as Newburyport, Massachusetts to Boston’s South Station and Logan International Airport. The company also provides daily executive class service from Portsmouth, NH; Tewksbury, MA to the New York Port Authority, and in 2015, began seasonal service from Ogunquit, Maine to New York.

"C&J is excited to be the Presenting Sponsor for the Ogunquit Playhouse series at The Music Hall," said Jim Jalbert, President of C&J Bus Lines. "We are proud to support both community-based organizations, The Ogunquit Playhouse and The Music Hall that bring so much pleasure to so many people, especially families, throughout the year. We think the Broadway collaboration between the two will be the perfect tie in with Vintage Christmas, and look forward to seeing White Christmas on stage!"

At The Music Hall we know our organization can only thrive in a community that is also thriving, and we work to reinforce this every day with our valued Community Partners.

Each year, we collaborate with more than 60 community organizations to fulfill our joint missions. The Music Hall:

• provides technical support and discounted venue space

• connects local students from Portsmouth Music and Arts Center, the University of New Hampshire, and Arts in Reach with artists like Reggie Watts, Joshua Bell, and Salman Rushdie

• facilitates meaningful conversations around relevant issues for our community such as ocean sustainability, the heroin epidemic, innovation, and technology

• illuminates the imagination of children with over 20 years of School Days Series performances

These opportunities create unforgettable experiences and have a lasting impact.

This summer, in partnership with Seacoast Family Food Pantry, we also gathered over five tons of food to feed children and families in need through our first Fill the Hall event. The Music Hall has committed to doing this event annually.

Moments like these are truly transformative, and we couldn’t do it without your support. Please consider making a year-end contribution to The Music Hall with the enclosed envelope to support our community outreach efforts. Your contribution is fully tax deductible. Thank you! #PortsmouthLOVE
