around the world for her own legendary high energy rock

and roll shows. Hard Rockin’ Woman, Linda’s first album

on Lanark Records, captures the spirit and soul of her live

performances, the ones her fans around the globe have

come to love! Recorded at the famed Lanark Studios, in

Lancaster Pa, on the evenings of Feb 19th, 20th and during

the day of the 21st, 2015. It was recorded and mixed the

old school way with a real band with real instruments

using a MCI JH24, a set of 1176s, a dbx 160, a Roland

Space Echo, a Tascam Spring Reverb, a Sanco Reverb

Chamber, Yamaha speakers on a AMEK Angela console.

All songs were tracked live and complete. Some tracks

are 100% live and some have a guitar overdub here or a

harmony overdub there. No programing, digital editing, or

pitch correction / auto tune was used it the making of this

album! Enjoy“ Mr. Sands, 2015 recorded with the Sanco

500 process for that world famous Lanark sound!

Teddy Edwards began his jazz career in the 1940‘s moving around constantly and playing with the likes of Ernie Fields and Howard McGhee. By 1944 he arrived in Los Angeles, switched to tenor sax and remained there for

most of his career. He became one of the most respected and influential tenor saxophonists of his generation. It was not until 1959 when he formed his own Quartet that he finally came into his own. Amongst the great names he has worked with are:- Benny Carter, Max Roach, Dexter Gordon, Benny Goodman, Joe Castro and even Tom Waits in the 1990‘s when he joined the great man on tour, including in the U.K. and appeared on his classic „Heart Attack and Vine“ album.

On the occasion of Cliff Richard’s 75th birthday (born on 14th October 1940 in India as Harry Roger Webb) there is also a present for his fans: this collection on 10 CDs of all the extant recordings from his early years and in addition the instrumental hits of his accompanying group the Shadows. Every oldie fan will be enthusiastic about this box, that offers Rock’n’Roll hits as well as rarities and unforgettable evergreens such as “Blueberry Hill”; with nine original albums and 79 bonus songs.If you type the name Cliff Richard into the Internet you get a list of about 3000 records – the man really achieved something in his lifetime, a life marked by sharp contrasts. On the one hand the young Cliff was a real Rock’n’Roller in the best Elvis manner, on the other hand he was deeply influenced by his Christian beliefs and, as far as his private life was concerned, completely isolated from hype.

It was hailed as one of the greatest comebacks the jazz world had

ever seen, but like every step taken by Miles Davis on his ground-

breaking musical journey, the trumpeters sensational “relaunch” at

the 1955 Newport Jazz Festival was part of much more complex

continuum of artistic creation and reinvention. For the perpetually

mercurial Davis, musical innovation was never a simple case of

before and after. Indeed, sixty years on, and with the enormous

benefit of hindsight and wider perspective, it is now possible to view

the recordings he made surrounding the Newport gig – all too often

talked down in jazz histories, or at best merely overlooked – in a

fresh light, the link between the old and the new.

The 1950s saw the emergence of a new and more adventurous strand of political and social satire evidenced in books and newspapers, on stage and on radio, and especially on the burgeoning new medium of TV, but it also found its expression in music, and one of the most individual and celebrated musical satirists of the time was Tom Lehrer. A mathematician

and academic by profession, he recorded a 10” LP of his first collection of songs in 1953 “Songs Of Tom Lehrer”, which gradually brought him to public attention, following it several years later in 1959 with a ‘Live’ LP of new material “An Evening Wasted With Tom Lehrer” which was also recorded in a studio environment that year as “More of Tom Lehrer”.

Loudermilk) were a powerful and distinctive force in country music through the ‘50s until their break-up in 1963, their music firmly rooted in their Southern Baptist upbringing, although they achieved huge success as long-time Grand Ole Opry members and with secular hits like “Cash On The Barrelhead”, “When I Stop Dreaming”, “Running Wild”

and the No. 1 “I Don’t Believe You’ve Met My Baby”. With Ira’s trademark mandolin and their extraordinary blend of voices, they were among the genre’s most individual stylists, and influenced many later artists, such as The Everly Brothers, whose vocal harmonies very much echo those of the Louvin Brothers, and others including Gram Parsons and The Byrds – The Byrds recorded the Louvins’ “The Christian Life”.

On this album of remastered, never before released private recordings by the Danish Jazz-entrepreneur Timme Rosenkrantz, we find exclu-sive recordings of some of the grand musicians such as Stuff Smith, Thelonious Monk, Don Byas and pianist Erroll Garner, whom Timme is actually credited for discovering and being the first to record. Most of it is recorded in Timme Rosenkrantz’s private Manhattan apartment, where the jazz society came to party and play. The CD is the first ever release of these private recordings from the mid-1940s.
