Chicago Bears

By Cameron Hansel

Chicago Bears won against the Packers! The Chicago Bears won a couple Thursdays ago. The score was 17-13, and it was a good game. Jay Cutler was the Chicago Bears MVP.

Basketball By Ryan Koerner

The Chicago Bulls are 13-8 currently in the season. The Golden State Warriors are 24-1 currently in the season. The Cleveland Cavaliers are 15 – 7 currently in the season. The Golden State Warriors are probably going to be back to back NBA Champions.

Hoot Hoot Review by Caleb Whalen

If you’re looking for a book about animals or more specifically, owls, read Hoot. Hoot is a book about an endangered species of owls. People are building a pancake house over a bunch of owl burrows. Three kids try to save the owls by stopping the construction workers. The author of this book is Carl Hiaasen. He also wrote three other books about animals. I encourage you to read this book.

A  Christmas  Story  By  Dakota  Gordon

A  Christmas  Story  is  a  movie  based  in  the

1930's.  The  KVTA  produced  the  show  and  it  played  this  past  weekend  at  Kankakee  High  School.  The  show  was  a  very  comical  show  and  you  were  guaranteed  to  laugh.  Hope  you  were  able  to  make  it.

Daily Debate  By Garrett Metzger

Everyone knows what happened in Paris on November 13. If you don’t know what happened here is a quick run down. That night (it was night in Paris because of the time difference), ISIS made multiple attacks on Paris. The largest was a shooting at a stadium that contained thousands of people. Dozens were killed and hundreds were injured. Even now, Paris is still trying to recover. Now ISIS is claiming to have agents in the U.S. and tensions are rising.

So I asked some students how they think we should deal with ISIS. Nick Thill said, “We should try to negotiate. If not, then it is war.” Keelan Hansgen says we should put more money into the FBI and track down the terrorists in our country. Paul Burkhalter says the situation is complicated but the best course of action is to build up the military to stop these insane acts. Caleb Whalen says that we should go for a direct assault. As for me, I agree with Keelan.

80s Fashion

By A nykah W ilkins Let’s boogie on back

to the 80's! 80's fashion was all about c olor, size, and experimentation. They wore all different c olored eye shadows and mascaras. They had hair to the skies and shoulder pads. They also liked gel things, necklaces, bracelets, and they even wore gel shoes! A lso a lot of girls wore tutus of all different colors. S ome girls even had mullets! G irls also liked to wear furry leg warmers. The 80's sounds like a c ool place to have been...except for the girls having mullets part!

Odor Testers By:Tyler Jensen

An odor tester is known as one of the most strangest careers of all. As an

odor tester, you are mainly known for a keen sense of smell and having the ability to precisely identify different smells. They are scientists that range from creating new deodorants, to fixing horrible scents to make them more pleasant. Odor testers spend most of their time in laboratories using chemicals to measure the balance of different mixtures of scents. They are able to pinpoint the certain aromas that make something smell terrible or pleasant. Not only do you need at least a Bachelor’s degree and a keen sense of smell, but you also need to be trustworthy, a logical thinker, and very detail oriented to become an odor tester. Their salary ranges from $39,000-$116,000 per year. This certainly sounds like a very interesting career I might add to my list of possibilities for my future.

Did you hear that David lost his ID?  Now we just have to call him Dav.    Why was six afraid of seven?  Because seven has cold dead eyes!    What do you call a pencil without lead?  Pointless.    What’s Beethoven's favorite fruit?  Ba-na-na-na-na!  Which side of the chicken has more feathers?  The outside

What do you call a man that shaves twenty times a day?  A barber.    Why was the sand wet?  Because the seaweed.    What did the officer say to his grumbling stomach?  Stop! You’re under a vest!    What are the ten letters of the pirate alphabet?  I, I, R, and the Seven Seas.
