December 2013 Updates

Hahgoot wearing her school’s new summer dress, which is actually a return to the 80s style...

Hahgoot had the great honour to win the reading encouragement award, which is awarded to one child from

each stage, at a special end-of-year awards ceremony. Behind her, from

left: the two school captains, ex-principal Mr Best, new principal Mrs

Vaughan, and all the awards sponsors and school benefactors.

Below: the large primary choir, with their leading teachers,

Mrs Chan and Mrs Richardson.

The K-2 Christmas show, performing “The 12 days of Christmas” (above) and “Rudolf” (below)

Year 1 did a show\song about the birth of Jesus (quite unusual, as they usually don’t go so religious and just stick to

Santa Claus and silly Aussie songs about the hot holiday...)Our friend Lis’ daughter Rachel got the lead role of Mary.

Hahgoot did her best to do all the right actions for the songs.

A play about Santa Claus in Australia trying to find the right bush animal to pull his slay\ute...Hahgoot was originally a Kangaroo but after

complaining it was too hot to hop along in a full body costume and holding a mask, she

swapped to a role of a kid that jumps up once shouting Hooray... But she was much happier!

Hahgoot’s 2 seconds of fame (blink and you miss it...)

The show was too long, you couldn’t hear anything the kids say, and it had many technical problems (that weren’t the kids fault, but didn’t help either...)

It was mainly large groups of kids moving back and forth on the stage,

very boring...

Mrs Chan really liked Hahgoot’s quirky cartooning around her class and homework books.

Many times the sticker was about the funny cartoon, not the tidy homework...
