On-line voting will remain open through December 24.

Trish ButzI have been a member of St Patrick Parish since our family moved to Rolla in1997.  St Patrick has been our beloved parish and a large part of our family life since this time.  We were happy to have our 5 children graduate from St Patrick School.  Our family has received the Grace of 1 baptism, 4 First Communions, 4 First Reconciliations, 5 Confirmations, 1 Wedding, and 2 Grandchildren Baptisms.  I have been fortunate to have served on School Board and Pastoral Council (then called Parish Council) in the past.  I would be honored to serve our parish family again in this capacity if elected to do so.

Mary ElsensohnMy husband Jim and I have been members of St. Patrick parish for almost 13 years. I retired from education after serving as a teacher, high school principal, and district superintendent in several Missouri public schools. We have two married children and four grandchildren. Our daughter and their family live in Rolla and are active members of the parish. Our son and his family attend Incarnate Word in Chesterfield. This is my first term on Pastoral Council, and I am serving as secretary. My parish activities over the years have included Eucharist Minister, lector, working at Oktoberfest, serving as a substitute pianist, helping with the refurbishing of the chapel kneelers, as well as with the last parish mission and Father Greg’s Christmas open house.

Pat EmmettI have been a member of Saint Patrick’s parish for over 50 years. I attended St. Patrick’s school, Rolla High and UMR. Currently I work as a cartographer at the USGS. I have been married 32 years to my lovely wife, Rosanne and we have 6 children and 3 grandchildren. Knowing that one of the major tenets of our Catholic faith is service, service to others, service to our community and our church, I am seeking to serve on the Parish Council. I have been a member of the local Knights of Columbus Council for over 25 years and often try to volunteer at various Parish functions. I seek to become your voice as a Parish Council member, in order to continue to strengthen and grow our Catholic faith community.

Jim MurphyThese next few years, our Parish will be experiencing some dynamic transitions. My past Parish involvement and my work experience has given me a body of knowledge that I want to lend to our faith community as it works through this evolution. We have an outstanding Parish and I dearly want to see the excellence of our faith community continue through whatever changes result in the ensuing years. I joined St. Patrick Parish in 1988 and since joining, it has been a focal part of my life. This is where I rejoice over life’s opportunities, thank God for the life’s gifts, sought support facing life’s challenges and found forgiveness for my shortcomings. My children both greatly benefitted from attending St. Patrick School through 8th grade. Our Parish has a source of support and I have a similar commitment to support our Parish.I am married to Phyllis Murphy, and we both serve as lectors, ushers and extra-ordinary Eucharistic ministers. Phyllis and I also volunteer with Parish activities such as the Octoberfest and facility improvements. I am also one of the “Beauty Boys” helping with the Parish lawn, am a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus and serve as the council’s Advocate. Previously, I have been the President of our school board, served for several years on the parish finance commission, managed parish softball teams, and assisted with youth sports in our school.I hold a Doctor of Education degree, have worked at Missouri S&T since 1988 and am currently the University’s Dean of Students. Prior to living in Rolla, I lived in Omaha while working at Creighton University but am a Wisconsin native and a University of Wisconsin alumni.

Connie Shanks I have been a member of St. Patrick’s since 2008. I have 2 sons and 2 grandsons. I am a sacristan, lector and Communion Minister, and have been very active in Adult Faith Formation and am on the art and environment team. I am the Vice-Minister of the Third Order Franciscans and served on the commit-tee responsible for remodeling the Chapel. I would like to see our parish continue to thrive and serve the needs of all our parishioners.

Chris VierretherI have been a parishioner at St. Patrick Church for 33 years. I have been a active member of the St. Patrick Rolla Knights of Columbus for 22 years. I have been on the “Beauty Boys” team, which cares for the parish grounds, for longer than I remember. When my youngest daughter was attending St. Patrick School, I was a member of the St. Patrick School Advisory Board. I currently serve the parish as a sacristan, communion minister, lector, usher, and lead the Chaplet of Divine Mercy after the 8:00 Sunday morning mass. I volunteer to serve the parish in any manner for many of the parish activities. My greatest interest in the parish is for the spiritual development of its parishioners. If elected to the St. Patrick Parish Pastoral Council, I would continue working to bring the parishioners closer to God, while doing my best to give wise and conservative advice concerning the current and future issues effecting St. Patrick Parish. God bless you.
