Dec 5, 2013
Transcript of Dec 5, 2013
I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving. As we turn the calendar to December, we have just a couple of weeks before we will be out for our Winter Break. Our students will be very busy until then.
Interim reports will be available today on Parent Portal. Please remember that we do not send home interim re-ports. If you have any problems access Parent Portal, contact Donna Corley at [email protected] for assistance.
Our holiday service project, Operation Angel, has begun. In lieu of holiday gifts for a teacher or staff member, stu-dents are encouraged to make contri-butions to GOoDworks, a Chapin-based home repair and improvement organization. Fro a minimum of $1 each, students will be given 2 angels - one to hang on our school tree and the
other to present to the honored faculty/staff member. The angels are not to be purchased to be given to other students.
As a reminder, December 13th is the dead-line for ordering the 2013-2014 LMES Year-book. Unlike past years, we will not be offering the yearbook for sale after Winter Break. Please don’t miss this opportunity to purchase a yearbook. See page 2 for details.
Finally, our weather continues to change. With the change in temperatures, we see our Lost and Found grow. If you are miss-ing jackets, coats, sweaters, lunchboxes, etc. please take a moment and check the Lost and Found located across from Dock-side Theater.
Enjoy your weekend!

Reminder: Parents, if you receive a referral letter for vision, hearing, or dental, the results indicate the need for further evaluation. We recommend that you make your child an appointment for a professional eye, ear, or dental examination. If an appointment has been made, please notify your school nurse of the date and time. If you have al-ready taken your child to your care pro-vider, please send a copy of the report to the health room or have your provider fax (476-4620) a report to the school.

The Lost and Found is overflowing. Please have your child check regularly for missing items. Coats, sweaters, jackets, lunchboxes, water bottles and much more are piling up. At the end of the year, all remaining items are donated to a local charity.
