1. All successful organisations consist of systems within systems
2. All systems are nurtured by routines which must be regularly reviewed and refreshed
3. Most important sub system in any org is the management hierarchy
4. The best type of hierarchy is bottom up
5. Leadership should be collective or collegiate

6. The middle manager is the keystone of the managerial arch
7. One person - one boss
8. Meetings are the medium of management work
9. Integrated decision making leads to right conclusions (decide how first - then make the decision)
10. Planning should be for the short term (e.g. 1-4 yrs) medium term (e.g. 5-8 yrs) & the long term (e.g. 9 yrs upwards) (meticulous planning is the key to success)
