Some manufacturers have attempted to copy and design around USNR’s numerous stacker patents, but their designs fall short in cycle time, component durability, and accuracy of sticker placement. If you want the best performing automatic stickering stacker, you want the USNR Lunden Stacker System with Quick-Cycle Stickering. Single Operator The USNR Lunden Stacker is the original automatic sticker stacker, imitated by many, but matched by none. The Lunden Stacker System features stickers on the stacker forks and lumber on the stickers when the carriage cycles. This results in packages of great uniformity with almost perfect sticker alignment, all with only a single operator. High Speed USNR’s patented Quick-Cycle Stickering system is capable of achieving speeds of up to 18 cycles per minute, depending on package width. One of the keys to this speed is the ability of the USNR system to reload the stickers while the carriage is depositing the previous course of lumber on the lift. More Capability In addition to being the fastest automatic stickering stacker on the market, the USNR Lunden Stacker offers a host of other capabilities and options, including course-gapping, random-width pullback, sticker unloading (in case of a bowed sticker), and more. The QCS cycle begins with stickers on the lifter arms and the forks in a lowered position.

The forks raise, picking up the sticker and the lumber flight, while the sticker lifter arm descends.

The forks extend while the sticker lifters reload.

The forks lower and retract, pushing the stickers and flights of lumber onto the stack. Meanwhile, the sticker lifters have been reloaded and are ready to go..

Focus: Quick-Cycle Stickering SystemThe Quick-Cycle Stickering (QCS) System starts its function when the carriage travel begins, as illustrated at right: the lifters lower, the sticker distribution chains advance, and the sticks are picked up. The stick is held ready above the stick pan as the forks return to the park position. This allows the fork cycle to restart immediately without waiting for the stick to be loaded. This also clears the path of the sticks immediately so that sticks may transfer slower and position much more accurately on the distribution chains. The stick loading function may begin again as soon as the forks reach their full up position.

Advantages of the QCS System

► Faster cycle times while operating the sticker system at a slower speed.► Forgiving loading and timing requirements make the system immune to chain

stretch and other wear related issues.► Accurate placement of stickers every time.► Ability to unload sticks from trays in the event of a bent, broken, bowed, or

misplaced stick.

Advantages of Break-Away Lifter Arms

► No damage to the lumber, forks or lifter arms in the event of a jam.► Operator can quickly and safely reset the lifter arms within minimal stoppage — no adjustments or tools are necessary.

Focus: Break-Away Sticker LiftersUSNR’s patented break-away sticker lifter arms mean that it is virtually impossible to damage the lifters or the stick pans in the event of a jam caused by a broken stick or board. The spring-loaded breakaway design allows the operator to clear the jam and reset the lifter arms quickly and safely by hand — no repair tools or extended downtime.

USNR break-away lifters feature a cam-spring assembly that allows the arm to pivot up or down out of the way if it encounters resistance. In addition, the lifter arms have a secondary spring mechanism that allows them to swing away to the left or right, all without causing any damage to themselves or to the lumber.
