2.0 Other Highlights
2.1 4 posts of Safaiwala under CMS/KPA have been surrendered in terms of WPO/KPA’s Memo No. E/COS(P)/03/2015, dated 19.8.2015.
2.2 1 post of Asstt Teacher, 2 posts of Chief Typist and 1 post of Sr Typist have been
surrendered in terms of WPO/KPA’s Memo No. E/COS(P)/02/2015 dated 19.8.2015.
2.3 229 Group ‘D’ staff have been promoted to the post of Technician-III against
50% Promotion Quota in terms of WPO/KPA’s O/O No. PB/E- 2(Loco)/PRQ/027/2015, dated 12.8.2015.
2.4 ‘World Breast Feeding Week’ (1st to 7th August) was observed and, an awareness
programme was organized on 6th August, 2015 at Eastern Railway Hospital, Kanchrapara.
2.5 69th Independence Day was observed on 15th August 2015 in the Workshop. 2.6 School Health Checkup Camp was organized from 17th to 21st August, 2015 at
RMP School Kanchrapara. In all 482 students from RMP School & ATP Schools were checked up.
2.7 ‘Sadbhavana Diwas’ was observed on 20.8.2015 at 11.30 Hrs in the Workshop. 2.8 A rebate @ 1% on Electricity Bill amounting to Rs 1,28,438/- for making payment
through NEFT has been accrued for the month of July, 2015 from WBSEDCL.
2.9 Power Factor Rebate @ Rs 5,24,093/- on Electricity Bill has been accrued from WBSEDCL for July, 2015.

76 MCIs which are stock-out and, therefore, could not be replaced in the locos that underwent POH are listed vide Annexure ‘B’ hereof.
3.4 Accounts Deptt
3.4.1 The post of AWAO/KPA is lying vacant since 3.6.2015. A suitable hand
may kindly be posted against that.

3.4.2 Kanchrapara Workshop has 4 vacancies of JE (IT). Considering the introduction of I-PAS in June, 2015 and the up-gradation of IT Centre for which work has been sanctioned, 4 RRB recruits (JEs) may kindly be posted.
3.4.3 The issue of transfer of 1 post of Programmer along with incumbent from HQs IT Centre to KPA IT Centre for monitoring of upcoming IT Projects (I- PAS and WISE-II) was agreed to in principal by FA&CAO. Selection and posting of programmer has been completed. Therefore, a post of programmer may kindly be transferred to IT Centre, KPA along with incumbent.
3.5 Construction Organization
3.5.1 Augmentation of EMU/MEMU POH Capacity to 40xMotor/80xTrailer Coaches {PB Item No. 473/2009-10, 473/2015-16, cost Rs 80,85,74 (,000), BG/2015-16: Rs 7 Crore}: The progress of work is poor and, even the BG seems to unlikely to be utilized.

3.5.2 New Coach Factory Complex, KPA (PB Item No. 65/2010-11, 608/2013-
14, 485/2015-16, BG/2015-16: Rs 5 Crore): Site Development @ ~80 acres out of 128 acres has been executed so far. 2,600m out of 4,000m road widening work has been carried out so far in patches. The rest is held up for want of removal of encroachment. Going by the progress of earthwork and road-widening work, the BG of Rs 5 Crore available this year seems to be unlikely to be utilized.

resumed yet. The Sports Complex was inaugurated on 6.6.2015 at the auspicious hands of Hon’ble MR. This needs to be expedited. It is learnt that the same may start after monsoon.

3.6 Civil Engineering Deptt
3.6.1 The condition of track in KPA Workshop is poor particularly at Points & Crossings. In order to enable improving that, 10xsets of 1-in-8½ CMS crossing, 20xsets of 1-in-8½ Switches of 52kg and the associate fan-shape sleepers including fittings are required. For other than Points & Crossings, 10457m of 52kg rails, sleepers and all associated fittings are also required. The same may kindly be arranged.
3.7 Medical Deptt
3.7.1 Dr Subhasis Das, ACHD/Radio/BRSH/SDAH, is under orders dated 13.9.2013 to report RH/KPA once a week. However, he has never reported here. For want of a Radiologist, the ultrasonography equipment is lying unutilized. Unions have been protesting against the lack of proper diagnostics.
3.7.2 The posts of ACMS/Pathology, ACMS/Admn and ACMS/MSW are lying
vacant since 1.5.2015, 12.3.2014 and 16.1.2014 respectively. 3 CMPs are working in the RH in stead.
4.0 Position of ACR/APAR & DAR Cases
The status of ACR/APAR & DAR Cases in terms of CME’s letter no. SM/Mech/GAZ/Misc, dated 13.4.2 is annexed hereto and marked Annexure ‘6.5’.
5.0 Updating of Workshop Portal
Workshop Portal at http://10.1.5.78:9090/MCDO has been updated for the month of August, 2015 in terms of CWE/ER’s letter no. MRW/255/Workshop-Outturn, dated 1.5.2012.

3.4.2 Kanchrapara Workshop has 4 vacancies of JE (IT). Considering the introduction of I-PAS in June, 2015 and the up-gradation of IT Centre for which work has been sanctioned, 4 RRB recruits (JEs) may kindly be posted.
3.4.3 The issue of transfer of 1 post of Programmer along with incumbent from HQs IT Centre to KPA IT Centre for monitoring of upcoming IT Projects (I- PAS and WISE-II) was agreed to in principal by FA&CAO. Selection and posting of programmer has been completed. Therefore, a post of programmer may kindly be transferred to IT Centre, KPA along with incumbent.
3.5 Construction Organization
3.5.1 Augmentation of EMU/MEMU POH Capacity to 40xMotor/80xTrailer Coaches {PB Item No. 473/2009-10, 473/2015-16, cost Rs 80,85,74 (,000), BG/2015-16: Rs 7 Crore}: The progress of work is poor and, even the BG seems to unlikely to be utilized.

3.5.2 New Coach Factory Complex, KPA (PB Item No. 65/2010-11, 608/2013-
14, 485/2015-16, BG/2015-16: Rs 5 Crore): Site Development @ ~80 acres out of 128 acres has been executed so far. 2,600m out of 4,000m road widening work has been carried out so far in patches. The rest is held up for want of removal of encroachment. Going by the progress of earthwork and road-widening work, the BG of Rs 5 Crore available this year seems to be unlikely to be utilized.

resumed yet. The Sports Complex was inaugurated on 6.6.2015 at the auspicious hands of Hon’ble MR. This needs to be expedited. It is learnt that the same may start after monsoon.

3.6 Civil Engineering Deptt
3.6.1 The condition of track in KPA Workshop is poor particularly at Points & Crossings. In order to enable improving that, 10xsets of 1-in-8½ CMS crossing, 20xsets of 1-in-8½ Switches of 52kg and the associate fan-shape sleepers including fittings are required. For other than Points & Crossings, 10457m of 52kg rails, sleepers and all associated fittings are also required. The same may kindly be arranged.
3.7 Medical Deptt
3.7.1 Dr Subhasis Das, ACHD/Radio/BRSH/SDAH, is under orders dated 13.9.2013 to report RH/KPA once a week. However, he has never reported here. For want of a Radiologist, the ultrasonography equipment is lying unutilized. Unions have been protesting against the lack of proper diagnostics.
3.7.2 The posts of ACMS/Pathology, ACMS/Admn and ACMS/MSW are lying
vacant since 1.5.2015, 12.3.2014 and 16.1.2014 respectively. 3 CMPs are working in the RH in stead.
4.0 Position of ACR/APAR & DAR Cases
The status of ACR/APAR & DAR Cases in terms of CME’s letter no. SM/Mech/GAZ/Misc, dated 13.4.2 is annexed hereto and marked Annexure ‘6.5’.
5.0 Updating of Workshop Portal
Workshop Portal at http://10.1.5.78:9090/MCDO has been updated for the month of August, 2015 in terms of CWE/ER’s letter no. MRW/255/Workshop-Outturn, dated 1.5.2012.
6.0 Action Plan Performance
Action Plan Performance in terms of GM’s letter no. DGMG/Action-Plan/2007-08, dated 4.1.2008 is submitted in the new pro-forma is submitted vide Appendix ‘III’ (Part-II) hereof.
