Dear Scouters – It is my pleasure to provide you with this game “On The Trail to Eagle.” This game was developed as one of my Wood Badge Tickets. To play, download the game board, which prints as two, 11 x 17 sheets that may be taped together. Print the cards that follow this page out and then copy onto card stock as explained on the sheets. Cut into cards and stack by category. You will need several items to play the game: A timer A kerchief or fabric to make a sling An ace bandage Rope for knots and lashings Three staves A dice. Alternatively, cut paper into six pieces and place numbers on
them which Scouts may draw. Pen and paper for score keeping.
Some questions and tasks are clear cut. Others involve some level of judgment to determine whether the task, like tying a particular knot, has been done satisfactorily. A Scoutmaster or senior leader will be needed to act as Moderator/Referee. Enjoy the game and pass it on! Feedback is a gift and may be provided at [email protected] . Additional copies may be downloaded at www.Troop-209.org. Yours in Scouting, Janet M. Riley ASM Troop 209, Silver Spring, Maryland
