Not only did many of the staff undertake their usual daily roles but also picked up extra duties to cover my absence. NAPLAN TESTING Congratulations to both the staff and student involved with the NAPLAN testing last week. An enormous amount of time and work goes into preparing for this and from all accounts it ran very smoothly. All of the students who sit the testing did an amazing job and I am sure our results will reflect the preparation and effort that has been put in. MATHLETICS Congratulations to the students who are working really hard in Mathletics, the number of awards being achieved and outcomes are fantastic. Mathletics can be accessed at home and all children know their passwords to log in, so get on line and practice your challenges and see if you can achieve extra awards and set a new class and school record!! SCHOOL COUNCIL This months meeting for School Council was held on Tuesday evening with a fantastic turnout of members. There is some really exciting things in the planning at School Council level and thank you to the enthusiastic parents who make it possible. EDUCATION WEEK This week has been education week and congratulations to many of our classes and students who have participated in a ‘Popup Classroom’ activity. The Popup Classrooms have been conducted down in the main street shopping area with classrooms ‘popping up’ to celebrate Education Week and showcase what our students are doing in school. What a great idea and fantastic activity!! R eport Writing Day PUPIL FREE DAY Our preparations are underway for the writing of reports. On Monday May 27th staff will be finalising their reports. This day has been delegated as a - Pupil Free Day, students are not required to attend school.

CONGRATULATIONS

Dear Families, Firstly I would like to thank everyone, especially Deb Inglis for

NAPLAN TESTING

Congratulations to both the staff and student involved with the

W oolworths Earn & Learn

We are again

participating in the Earn and

Learn Program offered by

Woolworths.

When you shop at

Woolworths, we are asking you to

collect stickers from the checkout

operator and place them on

sticker cards. There will be one

sticker for every $10 spent

(excluding liquor, tobacco and gift

cards).

Once completed the cards

can be placed in the collection

box located in the school office

area.

The more points we

accumulate the more resources

we are able to acquire for the

school learning areas.

The program will close on

Monday, July 1st.

N ational Volunteer Week

On Friday, May 19th, two of

our school Leaders, Teagan

Peterson and Amy Modlic,

represented our school at a “thank

you” afternoon tea to celebrate

and recognise the significant

contribution of volunteers in the

Nathalia Community.

They were thanked for

their monthly contribution to the

Meals on Wheels program.

They were entertained by

our own very talented choir. Who

were also congratulated on their

wonderful performance.

G rounds Committee

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 28th at 4.45pm.

This early time allows us to view our target areas in daylight. We look

forward to seeing all committee members and any interested parents on

that afternoon.

The Grounds Committee will

be raffling a TRAILER LOAD OF

WOOD in the next few weeks.

Raffle tickets will be sent home to

each family shortly.
