Welcome to Castle Donington...The centre of this lively and social village is only a 1.5 mile walk, bus ride or taxi journey from Donington Park Racing Circuit. You will find a hearty selection of public houses offering food and traditional ales scattered along the ancient streets of Hilltop, High Street, Bondgate and Station Road.
The main shopping area is set around a 13th century church with its 180 ft spire. A variety of restaurants and takeaways including Chinese, Indian, Italian, Tea Rooms and a fish and
chip shop can be found alongside the village Post Office, Doctors Surgery, Pharmacy and Bank. Shops ranging from gifts to computers also offer plenty of choice.
A Farmers’ Market is held every second Saturday of the month and an annual Medieval May Day Market and October Wakes Fair are popular events. There is a village museum and a beautifully illustrated Heritage Trail leaflet documents the interesting buildings and walkways.
