The D.E Master Blenders 1753 ‘Bangkok Coffee Academy’ organises hands-on training workshops and coffee educational programmes to encourage and promote consumers’ knowledge through our customers’ and their associates’ skill-development.

We provide standard Training Coffee Modules through in-house training, or custom-designed, full-blown coffee programmes

such as National Barista Championships fully driven by the D.E Professionals. For tailor-made programmes, please contact your

Key Account Manager.

BELOW IS AN OVERVIEW OF THE COFFEE MODULES AVAILABLE:

Bangkok Coffee Academy /Coffee Module I -

for Aspiring Barista’s (THB 3,300 / Person)

This one-day, Basic Coffee Knowledge Course includes;

1. Introduction to the origins of coffee, the species, growing and harvesting. 2. Roasting, blending and packing

3. The espresso equipment 4. A theory test

The method of training is through video training. Duration: 1/2 day

The second half-day session consists of working hands-on with the machines and goes through;

1. Perfect espresso extraction; how to set the grind for a perfect drop 2. Milk frothing training & techniques 3. The basic coffee

menu; recipe training & practise session 4. A practical test

The method of training is through Practical Training, in a real café-style environment. Participants will receive a D.E Professional

Certificate upon completion of the training course.

Bangkok Coffee Academy / Coffee Module II -

for Advanced Level Barista’s (THB 7,500 / Person)

1. Advanced coffee knowledge, an in-depth understanding of the characteristics and species 2. Cupping session 3. Advanced

coffee recipes & upselling/menu development 4. Equipment maintenance & basic troubleshooting 5. Adjusting grind settings

to accentuate different taste profiles 6. Half day coffee practice session 7. Half day ‘Latte-Art’ session 8. Preparation for

competition 9. Examination
