New MagnaLatch® ALERT ‘Vertical Pull’ now offers an entirely new line of business for fencing contractors. Being the world’s first and only combined gate latch and electronic alarm system it is now the ideal latch-alarm for front, side, perimeter and pet gates around the home.

When you install this latch you are also installing a “security” gate alarm, with no need for electricians, wiring or special tools!

All ALERT models feature dual, built-in alarms that notify whenever a gate is opened or left unlatched. They feature flashing LEDs and an audible alarm so that you can see at a glance, and hear from a distance, whenever a gate is not fully secured.

A single beep is heard upon each entry or exit of a gate. This notifies whenever family, friend or an intruder enters or exits. If the gate is left open for 10 seconds a second beep will be heard. It’s only after 15 seconds of the gate being left unlatched that the audible alarm begins to ramp up.

ALERT models feature all the regular MagnaLatch features, including reliable magnetic latching, key lockable security and a Locked/Unlocked visual (red dot) indicator.

Do NOT use a hinge with a 90° hold-open feature (-) for pool/child safety gates. Hinges must be at least 36" (900mm) apart so that they cannot be used as footholds by toddlers. IMPORTANT: For maximum gate weights, see weight chart on page 37.CAUTION: A gate stop must be installed when using SF models. Gate must not be allowed to open past 90˚. Doing so voids warranty.
