DescriptionRockwell Automation/Allen-Bradleyoffers a wide variety of connectionproducts for interfacing field devices toI/O, junction boxes, PLCs, etc.Connection systems products are madeof durable materials and are designedto handle rough industrialenvironments.

Featuring industry standard 4- or 5-pinovermolded connectors, Allen-BradleyDC micro quick-disconnect cablesprovide secure connection for proximitysensors, limit switches, photoelectricsensors and other field devices.Connectors can be straight orright–angled and are physically keyedto prevent wiring mishaps.Allen-Bradley DC micro style cablingoptions include:

• Cordsets: Cable with integral male orfemale connector at one end andflying leads at the other

• Patchcords: Cable with integralconnector at each end (one male,one female)

• Y-cables: A single cable with maleconnector that splits into two femaleconnectors, allowing connection oftwo devices to a single I/O port

Available with straight or right angleconnectors, Allen-Bradley microquick-disconnect cordsets, patchcordsand Y-cables feature a yellow PVCjacket for increased visibility andoil/chemical resistance. Some modelsinclude braided shielding for noisereduction and LEDs for power andoutput status indication.

For bulkhead or panel installation,Allen-Bradley DC micro receptacles arealso offered. These 3- or 4-wire die-castconnectors, available in male or femaleversions, are UL recognized and CSAcertified. Ideal for use in enclosures, DCmicro receptacles also allow for customwiring configurations.

Allen-Bradley passive distribution boxesinterface multiple devices to a controlsystem through a single cable orquick-disconnect pigtail. Eachdistribution box features internal-threadfemale receptacles (4, 6 or 8,depending on model) for quick andeasy connection with quick-disconnectmating plugs. LED versions areavailable for use with PNP (sourcing)inputs.

Available in male and female versions,terminal chambers are passivefield–installable connectors for use withraw cable. Allen-Bradley 4- and 5-pinDC micro style terminal chamberscontain screw terminals for quick andeasy assembly of custom QD cables onthe plant floor. Terminal chambers canbe straight or right-angled and areavailable for various cable diameters.
