What you need to know is that architecture, that is the art of building, has its own language. As a matter of fact looking at
buildings is just like reading a book in any kind of language. What I mean to say is that you need to understand the basic elements
that compose it before you start, but once you feel sure about the structure of the language then you can read anything.
Dealing with the grammar of architecture means you will face, let me see now, three essential aspects: first, style which is
related to historic periods, then category and last, building material.
Well, style is what helps us identify the time when a building was built and why it was built. Well of course, styles
have changed a lot in the past and as with other fashions, you all know that older styles are sometimes revived.
