Hi everyone!This 21 Days of Prayer booklet is a call to action; our country needs us to seek the Lord.

Our God answers prayer and responds to faith, there is a new season of souls and miracles underway, God is going to do incredible things in our nation.

In uncertain times, it’s easy to allow our mindset to become about self-preservation and “hunkering down” until the storm passes.

But we all know the communities around us need a church of faith, that is stepping through the fear and advancing as a mighty army into victory in Christ.

To see our towns and cities won for Jesus, we cannot sidestep prayer, it is vital that we engage the enemy and defeat him in prayer, then we will see an incredible release of salvation and miracles.

Can I encourage you to make time to pray personally or pray with others in-person or online.

All around us people are ready to know Jesus, hearts are open, but we must prepare the way.

DAY 1 REACH OUR NATION

Our Churches and Church Planting

1. Pray what Jesus said; “I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” (Matthew 16:18b). Pray that Elim would advance and gain momentum like never before building to 30,000+ people calling Elim home.

2. Pray for the health and growth of our Elim churches (Christians growing in their faith and discipleship, non-Christians coming to know Jesus, greater impact and influence in our communities).

3. Pray for the right leaders and teams to establish new churches in Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Gisborne and other towns and cities in New Zealand.

4. Pray that the Elim churches in our major cities identify, train, empower and release the right leaders and that their faith, finances and leadership would increase to establish campuses.

5. Pray for the health, unity and leadership of our regional churches. Technology has brought us all closer together, but time and distance between some of our churches is still a factor.

DAY 2REACH OUR NATION

Christian Education

1. Pray for the leadership, finances, property and opportunity to establish new Elim schools, and early childhood education centres.

2. Pray for our current Elim schools, that every child and young person would come to know Christ. That they would thrive and excel in their studies and their relationship with Christ and their friends.

3. Pray for our current Elim early childhood education centres, that every child would come to know Christ. That they would thrive and excel in learning and having fun. Speak salvation over every child and teacher, pray that whole households will be saved.

4. Pray for the governance and leadership of our schools and early childhood education centres. Pray for wisdom, favour with their communities, unity and provision.

5. Pray for grace and truth to be in abundance, especially for our teachers as they seek to honour God’s ways in an increasingly secular society and education sector.

DAY 3REACH OUR NATION

Elim Pastors’ Conference 2020

1. Pray for our Elim Pastors’ Conference, that nothing will stop our pastors and their families from being there. Ask God for an outpouring of His Holy Spirit on every session.

2. Pray for Elim International Church Wellington, as they host the conference. Pray for an increase in capacity and unity, God-given creativity and efficiency in planning and logistics.

3. Pray that our pastors kids and young people encounter God in a powerful way that shapes the course of their lives.

4. Pray for our speakers that they would hear God’s voice in what to speak, bringing a prophetic edge to their words. Pray for their health and safe travel.

DAY 4REACH OUR NATION

Next Generation Movement

1. Pray for thousands of children and young people to come to know Christ and become faith-filled disciples that change our nation and the nations.

2. Pray for our children and youth leaders, that they will be encouraged in their faith and leadership. Pray for new leaders to be raised up and established.

3. Pray for open doors and the right strategy for going into our schools. Pray for chaplaincy and other creative outreach endeavours.

4. Pray that we would raise up and champion the next generation of revivalists. That these children and young people would be set on fire for Jesus, stepping out in faith to see revival in our nation and the nations.

DAY 5REACH OUR NATION

Elim One Worship

1. Pray for God-songs for our songwriters and musicians, songs that shift the atmosphere over nations, bringing the sound of faith and revival.

2. Pray for the team producing our music, that they will capture a new sound while keeping the lyrics infused with God’s Word and Spirit.

3. Pray for the increase of the presence of God in our Sunday services, that the revival that stirs our churches, will be the fire that births new songs and new worshippers.

4. Pray for the financial provision to allow us to record and produce new music in sound and video.

DAY 6 ELECTIONS 2020

Scripture Declaration These next elections are crucial to the future of our Nation. Let’s pray for godly people to be in leadership, and that righteous laws that honour God would be passed.

Psalm 22:28“For kingship belongs to the Lord, and he rules over the nations.”

Proverbs 21:1“The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will.”

Daniel 2:21“He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.”

Proverbs 19:21“Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.”

Isaiah 9:6“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Psalm 75:7“But it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another.”

DAY 7REACH THE WORLD

Raise Leaders and Enter New Territories

1. Pray for new strategies to reach out to our world that is in fear from this virus. Pray for open doors into the right new territories throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

2. Pray to see our goal of 5,000 Elim churches across the globe become a reality.

3. Pray for strategic partnerships between Elim and nationals within the new global territories we plant churches in.

4. Pray for wisdom, faith, leaders and provision to establish the right key Elim global conferences in the territories we move into and pray for the Elim Global Board.

5. Pray for all our churches to establish Christ-centred mission projects and future trips, where all our members have the opportunity to capture God’s heart for nations.

DAY 8REACH THE WORLD

Powerful Scriptures to Declare Globally

Romans 10:13-15 (ESV)For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

Isaiah 52:7 (ESV)How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”

Luke 10:2 (ESV)And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.

DAY 9 HEALTHY CHURCHES

Leadership Development and Succession

1. Pray for every Elim church to be generational in its leadership development, youthful passion working alongside wisdom and insight.

2. Pray for the next generation of leaders to be raised up, that they would hear the call of God and follow through into their God-given destiny. Leaders of influence in our churches and in the marketplace.

3. Pray for the next generation of leaders to have the patience and character needed to temper their personal ambitions to know God’s timing in church leadership transitions.

4. Pray for our Pastors and Elders to have clear succession plans in place. Where they are not threatened, but can clearly see the massive impact of legacy and raising up the next generation.

DAY 10HEALTHY CHURCHES

Pastor/Church Health and Growth

1. Pray for the health and growth of our Elim pastors and leaders. Pray a hedge of protection around them and their spouse. Guard their marriage, children and their unity in the home.

2. Pray for the support and training systems we have in place, as well as for new innovative and creative ones. We want to see our new pastors thriving and given the right keys to growth and longevity.

3. Pray for the health checks we use to support our pastors and churches. That the right information will be gathered, assessed and that our pastors and churches would be open to change and growth through what is implemented.

4. Pray for the ongoing development of our resource hub, that we will match the vision of our movement with the resources we provide.

DAY 11 HEALTHY CHURCHES

Church Governance

1. Pray for our Elders and Trustees that they would know the wisdom of God, to hear clearly the voice of the Holy Spirit for every situation. Pray for unity that commands a blessing and advances God’s Kingdom

2. Pray for the training sessions and resources we provide for our church governance. That we would build men and women of great faith, unity and massive vision.

3. Pray for effective lines of accountability, where the pastor is able to be honest enough to share his/her struggles with their oversight.

4. Often the church governance oversees the leadership of our early childhood centres, schools and other Kingdom ventures. Pray for unity and humility to bring about growth and expansion.

DAY 12HEALTHY CHURCHES

Scripture Declaration and Prayers for Pastors

Encouragement2 Corinthians 12:9“My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

Prayers to Pray

1. “Lord, encourage my pastor through Your Spirit. Let me be a source of encouragement to him/her and let others come alongside him/her to lift him/her up in spirit.”

2. “Let my pastor see his/her work as eternal and not temporal. Let him/her be refreshed through knowing that Your grace is sufficient for him/her.”

Protection 1 Peter 5:8“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

Prayers to Pray

1. “Father, I pray for my pastor’s complete protection from the devil that roams around like a roaring lion trying to destroy him/her.”

2. “I pray that my pastor would be alert & watchful for any area of his/her life that is open to attack. Give him/her supernatural protection”

DAY 13 HIGHLY TRAINED PASTORS AND LEADERS

Elim Leadership College (ELC)

1. Pray for our interns that they will go the distance, allowing themselves to be shaped by God and others.

2. Pray for our churches that support the ELC interns, that there would be just the right amount of academic work versus practical work to increase their leadership and capacity.

3. Pray for a real joy, growth and momentum for every ELC student. Pray that they would make lifelong friends, that they would enjoy the journey and see provision for every area of their lives.

4. Pray for our Elim Leadership College staff and lecturers, that they would impart biblical truth, leadership, and our Elim DNA. Ask for wisdom in any counsel or direction they give. Pray for ongoing revelation and an impartation of the Holy Spirit.

DAY 14 HIGHLY TRAINED PASTORS AND LEADERS

Leadership Trainings and Gatherings

1. Pray for the right technical and support staff, as we continue to expand ELC online, reaching out to help grow our Asia-Pacific region and other nations. Pray for ongoing resources to fund new technological improvements.

2. Pray for the right resources, training and personnel to continue to expand our Elim Network, Regional gatherings and other training we move into online. Pray for an increase in skill, strategies and systems in discipling our people and raising leaders.

3. Pray for access to key world-class resources and speakers that can input into our Movement.

4. Pray for our current mentors who meet with our pastors. Pray for wisdom and spiritual insight for the mentors and pray for humility, and openness to change and growth from our pastors. Ask the Lord for new mentors to emerge within our movement to help support our pastors and leaders.

DAY 20PRAY FOR OUR NATIONAL LEADERS

1. Ps Boyd & Sharon Ratnaraja and their two sons Joshua and Jaxon.

2. Boyd and Sharon have made the decision to step down from their leadership at Elim Christian Centre Manurewa. Pray for God to speak clearly for their next step as they have stepped out in faith. Pray for God to open the right doors. Also pray for the transition of leadership at Manurewa, as Boyd transitions with Don Lafaele, declare unity, peace and momentum across the church and leadership.

3. Pray for an ongoing revelation for fresh vision and God’s heart for the future. That their lives would be filled with joy as they lead us.

4. Pray a guard around their marriage, that they would be strong in unity, passion and heart.

5. Declare that their “sons would be mighty in the land” and that “all your children shall be taught by the Lord and great shall be the peace of your children”.

6. Pray for great friends and support around them, that they would continue to be loved and cared for.

DAY 21 PRAY FOR CHRISTIANS AND CHURCHES

IN OUR NATION

1. Pray for unity between churches and Christians, that everyone will know we are Jesus’ disciples because of our love for one another.

2. Pray for the centrality of Christ in every church, that Christ alone would be the way, truth and life.

3. Pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit of God upon our churches and Christians, that we would see the fires of revival sweep our land.

4. Pray for faith and courage to rise in our hearts, that we would be not just hearers of the Word, but doers also!

5. Pray for the continuation of freedom of religion in New Zealand.
