The following pages will reflect my journey with Z.E.N. Foods

I purchased a 7 day weight loss plan at a huge discount from a 1 day internet deal.

I told the representative at Z.E.N. that I didn’t want red meat, bleu cheese or eggplant in any of the meals. He said I should lose 5 pounds this week. Let’s see how this all works out…

I received my food the night before in ice packs. I put everything in the

refrigerator ready for the next day. 2 days left. I’m really going to miss this!!

BREAKFAST

Roasted Vegetable Crust-less Quiche with Fresh Fruit

(Outside of the delicious grapefruit and orange slices, I really didn’t care much for this quiche. When I think of quiche, I think of cheese and eggs. This was more like spinach with tomatoes and some tasteless mixture

to keep it together. Maybe some sea salt or low cal cheese or “something” could make it more appetizing??)

LUNCH

Greek Tuna Salad on Romaine

(Like I’ve said before, salads are my absolute favorite meal. And this salad was no exception. Tuna mixed with black olives, onions, tomatoes, some kind of cheese – that I could have done without – and the vinaigrette

dressing. I ate every bite and was full for hours!)

SNACK

Turkey Quesadilla

( The seasoning of the turkey was perfect. The dill dressing was a very nice compliment. I’m so full now I could burst!)

DINNER

Jerk Chicken with Sliced Sweet Potatoes and Mustard Greens

(The chicken was sweet and tangy (you all know how I like sweet)! Loved, loved, loved the sweet potatoes, and of course, what I thought was spinach was mustard greens. I just thought it was spicy sweet spinach. I ate every

bite – except for the tastes I gave to my hubby!)

DESSERT

Apple Cobbler

(Hey, where’s the ice cream? Tee hee! Actually, I really didn’t miss the ice cream. This was delicious all by itself. Even licked the container when it was all gone!)

I am a Realtor in Altadena / Pasadena, California. As my schedule constantly changes on a daily basis, it’s difficult to shop and plan meals. I decided to give Z.E.N. a try to see if I could be more focused mentally and feed my body something nutritious for a change while on the go meeting with clients and fitting in dance classes at the gym.
