DAY 1: NOV 16 QUITO –EQUATOR LINE – OTAVALO Early in the morning we start the Monument City Tour to the Ecuadorian capital’s colonial past, declared by UNESCO a “World Cultural Heritage.” Quito invites you to visit its historic and modern treasures. Drive to the Middle of the World . The world famous Equator, “Mitad del Mundo” is located only 30 minutes from Quito. Here you will have the opportunity to jump from the Northern Hemisphere to the Southern Hemisphere. In the 18th century the French Geodesic Expedition arrived here to perform important researches and investigate the Earth’s actual form. A monument and an interesting Ethnologic Museum were built. Overnight Hotel Quito DAY 2: NOV 17 OTAVALO Early departure and trip on “Panamericana” road to the north until Otavaloi visit to the market, in the “Plaza de Ponchos.” Here you will be able to take wonderful pictures or purchase a large variety of leather products, woven products, or hand- carved wood products. Later we will visit the tiny town of Cotacachi which is famous for its leather products. In the afternoon we will do a small trekking tour at Cuicocha. Overnight Puerto Lago DAY 3: NOV 18 COTOPAXI Tripto the South on the “Panamericana”, which is called the “Volcanos Avenue”, with direction to the Cotopaxi Province. Visit to Cotopaxi National Park which is situated at the foot of the world’s highest active snow-capped volcano (5897 m.). The road will take us to the Limpiopungo Lake. Salasaca Indian community. These people are experts weaving textiles and rugs woven on their traditional looms. Arrival at Baños. In the afternoon, you take a walk and visit the small town, where you can taste delicious local sweets made of sugar cane, such as “melcochas”, “alfeñiques”, “panela” and pure sugar cane juice. DAY 4: NOV 19 BAÑOS - RIOBAMBA

After breakfast we will visit the waterfalls route with MANTO DE NOVIA, MACHAY and the PAILON DEL DIABLO falls. This last one has three jumps and an amazing whirlpool at the bottom; it gets its name “Devil’s Pot” because the rock behind the fall is shaped as the profile of the devil. DAY 5: NOV 20 RIOBAMBA – ALAUSÍ – DEVIL´S NOSE – INGAPIRCA – CUENCA

Early departure to Alausí. Train trip on the centenarian railroad to Alausi and Guayaquil. This adventure offers you unforgettable and impressive moments, breathtaking landscapes, and the chance to cross the "Devil's Nose". From Alausi by car to Cuenca City visiting Ingapirca Inca´s ruins, which is Ecuador’s most significant archeological site. Overnight Crespo

DAY 6: NOV 21 CUENCA CITY TOUR – FLIGHT

Cuenca is one of Ecuador’s most visited cities. The city tour starts along the Tomebamba River. You will admire lovely balconies, tiles, pink marble stone and nice houses. The Inca ruins (“Todos los Santos”) are visited. The city tour ends with a walk
