DAVID ABRAHAMSON PROJECT MANAGER | CHINA CENTER FOR LABOR & ENVIRONMENT AND GRI TRAINER As Project Manager of the China Center for Labor and Environment, Intertek’s platform for supply chain sustainability in China, David helps plan initiatives that build capacity, facilitate compliance and promote ethical sourcing. BETSY BLAISDELL SENIOR MANAGER OF ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP | THE TIMBERLAND COMPANY Betsy Blaisdell is the Senior Manager of Environmental Stewardship for The Timberland Company, headquartered in Stratham, New Hampshire. In this capacity, Betsy is responsible for implementing programs and policies designed to re- duce Timberland’s environmental footprint. Specifically, she leads the execution of projects that reduce energy, chemi- cal, and resource use at Timberland owned and operated facilities worldwide and supports internal teams in adopting more sustainable business practices. Aside from her focus on Timberland’s environmental stewardship, Betsy is also involved in several cross-brand initiatives aimed at improving the environmental performance of suppliers, including the Outdoor Industry Association Eco-Work- ing Group and the Leather Working Group. Prior to joining Timberland, Betsy served as the Industrial Energy Manager under NH governors Benson and Shaheen. STEPHEN BRAMMER PROFESSOR OF STRATEGY | WARWICK BUSINESS SCHOOL, UK

Stephen Brammer is Professor of Strategy at Warwick Business School in the UK. He is a leading scholar in the areas of business ethics and corporate social responsibility. His research explores firm-stakeholder relationships, the strategic management of these, and the impacts of these upon company performance and reputation.

Recently, Brammer’s research has focused upon the inclusion of social and environmental criteria within firms’ procure-ment decisions. He has recently completed two large scale international comparative projects concerned with how pub-lic bodies and private companies embed social responsibility within their supply chains. His research has been widely published in leading journals such as the Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Financial Management, and the Journal of Business Research. CHRIS CAMPOLONGO SENIOR MANAGER, SUPPLY CHAIN COMPLIANCE | MEADWESTVACO CORPORATION (MWV)

Chris Campolongo is the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Compliance for the MeadWestvaco Corporation (MWV). Chris has over 20 years of experience in supply chain compliance both in the public sector for Customs and Border Protection and in a variety of private sector retailers and manufacturers. He began his career with MWV in 2006 as Manager of Logistics Compliance and Regulations where he implemented a C-TPAT program for the corporation. In 2009, he was named Se-nior Manager of the Supply Chain Compliance group. His team’s responsibilities include leading MWV’s Corporate Social Responsibility program, maintaining MWV’s status as a validated C-TPAT importer, Import and Export (Trade) Compli-ance, and administering the corporate Supplier Approval program.

Mr. Herman joined AAFA in 2001. Mr. Herman manages AAFA’s regulatory and legislative affairs activities, advocating on behalf of, and providing information to, the industry on international trade and corporate social responsibility issues. With As You Sow since 2006, Patricia now heads up the Responsible Sourcing Network, which addresses human rights abuses at the raw commodity level of corporate supply chains. Previously she was at the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy, where she co-authored a report on U.S. Compliance with Global Treaties. At Gap Inc. she rewrote the compa-ny’s Vendor Handbook. She is fluent in Spanish and has past work experience with natural dyes, Latino political outreach, and women’s handcraft cooperatives. She has degrees from Thunderbird Business School, Cornell University, and the Fashion Institute of Technology.

JOHN KELLEHER PRESIDENT & CEO | R.J. McCARTHY

John Kelleher is President and CEO of R.J. McCarthy, Canada’s largest school uniform company. Previously, John was Presi-dent and CEO of Black’s Photography, Canada’s largest specialty photo retailer with 114 stores nationally, and over 1,200 employees. Prior to Black’s, John worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. John volunteers his time as a Director of Covenant House, Canada’s largest youth homeless shelter. John has HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business; an MA in Public Administration from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government; and an MBA from Harvard Business School where he graduated with Distinction.

MATHIEU LAMOLLE MARKET ANALYST | TRADE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (T4SD)

Mr Mathieu Lamolle holds a Masters degree in Management Science from the Solvay Business School in Brussels and speaks English, French and Spanish. He participated in the executive program on international trade, development and business practices at the Tsinghua University in Beijing and in the executive program on international trade regulations at the World Trade Institute in Bern.

Mr Lamolle joined the Division of Market Development of ITC in October 2007. He works as Market Analyst for the Trade

Mr Lamolle has extensive experience working in developing countries, delivering training programs and providing tech-nical support and advice on market access issues and trade negotiations at multilateral or regional level. Its most recent former employment was as associate expert at the EU-ACP Project Management Unit in Brussels, a programme financed by the European Commission to provide technical assistance to African Caribbean and Pacific countries and regions in the context of the Economic Partnership Agreements negotiations.

JIA LIU PROGRAM MANAGER | INTERTEK SUSTAINABILITY SOLUTIONS

Jia Liu is an environmental specialist with extensive hands-on experience. She is the program manager of the Think Green Initiative (TGI), which is a supplier focused environmental initiative. She is responsible for developing and growing this initiative globally. She is passionate about Corporate Environmental Responsibility and works closely with brands and their suppliers to minimize the supply chain environmental footprint through a win-win approach. She combines practitioner’s perspective with industry environmental good practices to advise suppliers on continuous improvement programs. She has supported suppliers in successfully transforming their traditional compliance mindset and improving their reporting and communication methods. She is a member of The China Center for Labor and Environment.

TIM MOHIN DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY | AMD

Tim Mohin is the Director of Corporate Responsibility at AMD. He is responsible for the company’s overall strategy, per-formance and communications on corporate responsibility matters.

Prior to joining AMD, Tim advised senior executives at Fortune 500 companies as the lead sustainability consultant for EORM. Formerly, Tim led Apple’s Supplier Responsibility program where he initiated the company’s world-class social and environmental responsibility program.

Tim also had a twelve year career with Intel Corporation where he held several positions including Director of Sustainable Development, Director of Employee Communications, Corporate Environmental Manager and Government Affairs Man-ager. Before joining Intel, Tim worked for ten years in the Federal government with both the U.S. Senate and U.S. EPA.

Mr. Mohin has a Bachelors degree in Environmental Biology from the State University of New York and a Masters degree in Environmental Management from Duke University.

CRAIG MOSS DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE PROGRAMS & TRAINING | SOCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY INTERNATIONAL (SAI)

Craig Moss, Director of Corporate Programs and Training at Social Accountability International (SAI), is a leading expert on improving social compliance in a company and their supply chain. Pulling from his background in international busi-ness development and corporate social responsibility, Craig led the development of the Social Fingerprint™ Program, a pragmatic process-based rating system and tools that focus on measuring and improving social performance.

At SAI, Craig wrote Measuring and Improving Labor Standards Performance for the International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group, and Implementing a Socially Responsible Supply Chain for Social Accountability Inter-national (SAI).

As Director of Corporate Programs & Training at SAI, Craig develops and manages programs to assist Global Fortune 1000 companies with the continual improvement of social performance in their supply chain. Craig oversees SAI training for auditors, suppliers and buyers on social compliance in the supply chain, the SA8000 standard and other corporate and industry codes.

Craig has extensive experience in international business and economic development, with a focus on export develop-ment from emerging markets to the US. These projects spanned numerous industries and often focused on working with small and mid-sized en-terprises (SMEs). Craig has developed and managed innovative research-based export promotion, investment attraction and supplier development programs.

Christina Siun O’Connell is the director of Credit360 North America, providers of sustainability data management and communications systems to the World Bank, Starbucks, HSBC, ING, Telefonica, Virgin Media and the Resort Municipality of Whistler. Prior to joining Credit360, Christina was SVP of Flag Communications and led the consulting team for both the first sustainability report and the Ethical Sourcing report for WalMart Stores Inc. She began her work in sustainability as the director of CSRwire. Previously, she worked as Senior Associate for an early boutique technology PR firm and di-rected advertising programs for a portfolio of 60 European IT publications.

Jenna Pires has been with Intertek since 2005. She is responsible for research & development, advisory services and pro-gram management for Intertek Sustainability Solutions based in New York City. She is currently managing the strategic development of Intertek’s new online audit technology solutions for improving workplace conditions. Prior to joining Intertek, she worked in China for several years where she was a research analyst for Ipsos, a Market Research & Consulting company. Ruth Rosenbaum, a social economist and educator, is the co- founder and Executive Director of CREA: Center for Reflec-tion, Education and Action, Inc., located in Hartford, Connecticut. CREA is a social-economic research and education organization unique in that its analysis of social and economic systems starts from the perspective of their effect on the lives of persons and communities who are economically poor. Dr. Rosenbaum is the creator of the Purchasing Power In-dex (PPI), a trans-cultural, trans-national and trans-cultural measurement of the purchasing power of wages and income used to determine what constitutes a sustainable living wage. Under her direction, CREA has completed purchasing power studies in Haiti, Mexico, the U.S., El Salvador, Kenya, Bangladesh and Guatemala. Dr. Rosenbaum has extensive background in human rights, labor rights, women’s issues, and environmental issues.

John currently serves as PepsiCo’s Director of Plastic Bottle Procurement for North & South America and has been a Sedex Board Director since 2007. Prior to this role, John served as PepsiCo’s Director of Responsible & Sustainable Sourc-ing, initiating a global program under his leadership that encompassed responsible sourcing policies and compliance, extending environmental programs to suppliers and shaping PepsiCo’s sustainable packaging & sustainable agriculture strategies. John also served as Vice-Chair of the AIM-PROGRESS responsible sourcing initiative for the CPG industry at its inception. Prior to PepsiCo, Mr. Scott was a management consultant in the CPG industry and also held a variety of management positions at Nabisco/Kraft Foods in Supply Chain, Procurement and Customer Logistics.

Prior to Sedex Tom worked at the Hispanic and Luso Brazilian Council, a Latin American think tank based in London. He worked in partnership with Al-Invest, an EU funded economic co-operation programme that aims to support the internationalization of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Latin America in order to reinforce social cohesion in the region.

Tom holds a BA in Politics from the University of York (UK) specialising in theories of inequality and the role of religion in Middle Eastern politics. In his free time he enjoys cycling and learning to tele-mark.

David joined Polo in 1988 and has successfully worked his way through the company in many areas; from product de-velopment and design to production and sourcing. His diverse exposure to the global apparel manufacturing industry has provided a keen insight into apparel factories and their management. He is responsible for the development and implementation of Polo’s social compliance and human rights program implemented in all Polo Ralph Lauren and Club Monaco product suppliers. David continues to oversee the human rights compliance department while developing new strategies and directions. Catherine Benoît is Social Assessments and Strategy director at New Earth, a non-profit organization (www.newearth.info). Doug Cahn is the principal of The Cahn Group, LLC (www.thecahngroup.com) a corporate responsibility consultancy dedicated to creating sound business practices that are consistent with societal needs and stakeholder expectations. He is also president of Clear Voicesm (www.clearvoicehotline.net), a service that enhances communications between fac-tory and farm managers and their workforces.

Mr. Cahn has been a corporate responsibility executive for 20 years. Mr. Cahn led the implementation of Reebok Inter-national’s corporate commitment to international human rights, both through the company’s business practices and-philanthropic endeavors. He developed a child labor free soccer ball factory in Pakistan and human rights training pro-grams, worker communication systems, and assessment tools in over a dozen countries.

He is the co-founder of the Fair Factories Clearinghouse, a non-profit initiative of global retail companies, consumer brands and retail trade associations dedicated to efficiently managing and sharing information about workplace condi-tions. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Verité, a non-profit research and advocacy organization dedicated to humanizing the global workplace.

JOHN M. GABRIEL CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS | ELECTRONIC INDUSTRY CITIZENSHIP COALITION (EICC)CORPORATE MANAGER, SUPPLY CHAIN SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY | IBM CORPORATION

John M. Gabriel is serving as the Chairman of the Board of the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC), which is a 65 member global organization focused on a common supply chain code of conduct and implementation tools for the electronics sector. The EICC is recognized for its engagement of multiple-tiers of the electronic supply chain in assessing and developing recommended improvements in social and environmental matters. In the past two years the EICC has deployed its Validated Audit Process, Auditor Certification program, and Smelter Validation Process (as part of its conflict minerals work in conjunction with GeSI).

John is also corporate manager of IBM’s Supply Chain Social Responsibility program. Appointed to this position in Janu-ary 2004, he oversees a cross-functional team responsible for administering the company’s Supplier Chain Social Respon-sibility initiative. Under Mr. Gabriel’s leadership, the program has been deployed to its suppliers with focus on emerging markets. In addition, he has played a lead role in dialog with clients, nongovernmental organizations, and industry leaders regarding IBM’s efforts in this area. IBM is a leader in the sector with its extensive audit program (using EICC

For six years, John managed IBM’s Mechanical Commodity Council, responsible for the global sourcing of all sheet metal, mechanical assemblies, plastics, and decorative coatings. He was involved in the development of the industry’s first desktop personal computer using 100% recycled engineering-grade plastics for all its main structural elements. In addi-tion, he helped to implement the application of environmentally friendly decorative powder paint coatings across IBM’s hardware lines.

Mr. Gabriel holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Union College (Schenectady, NY) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University (Philadelphia, PA).

Lorraine Smith is a sustainability consultant who applies her knowledge of stakeholder engagement and life cycle think-ing, to bring about positive social and environmental change within business.

Lorraine’s extensive engagement with anti-sweatshop activists, socially responsible investment experts, municipal lead-ers and large retail and consumer products companies has brought her an understanding of the complex issues ranging from human rights in the supply chain to consumer education. She focuses on taking a Life Cycle Approach to sustain-ability, and to supporting collaborative, learning-based initiatives.

Lorraine is on the advisory board of the Earthster Project supported by Walmart’s Sustainability Consortium, and she is a strategic advisor to Fashion Takes Action, a member-based organization dedicated to making the fashion industry social-ly and environmentally responsible. Lorraine has also written for a range of publications on the topic of ethical sourcing including the Retail Council of Canada’s Canadian Retailer Magazine, Sept/Oct 2008, The Politics of Sourcing and Canadian Business for Social Responsibility’s retail industry collaboration report, Retail CSR Leadership Report: Ethical Sourcing.

Prior to her seven years’ experience in sustainability consulting, Lorraine worked as a Senior Business Analyst for Manulife Financial, Manager of Logistics for a New Zealand-based electronic engineering firm, as well as supporting fundraising and communications for World Wildlife Fund Canada. Lorraine is fluent in French, German, Spanish and Portuguese and has an Honours BA from Mount Allison University. She lives in New York with her husband Christopher Foss, a sustain-ability communications professional and extraordinary poet.
