Site words (such as ‘the’, ‘in’, ‘you’, ‘I’, ‘and’, ‘sad’, ‘yes’, ‘no’, ‘red’, ‘sad’ and ‘see’) were reinforced in the Language Arts Center with the game Roll and Read.

Students practiced site words using Play-dough and magnetic letters.

The students predicted an early spring. However, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow predicting 6 more weeks of winter!

The Randall Carter AM K-Wrap students take turns using the whiteboard during morning activities.

Addition skills are practiced by ‘matching’ equation mittens to the correct ‘sum’ mittens.

With passports in hand, the PM Pines Lake K-Wrap class travelled around the world in 5 days. Using their Reading, Writing and Social Studies skills they went from Mount Olympus to the Great Wall of China. These explorers arrived back home safely on Friday afternoon with minimal jet lag.

100 days

Smarter!

The 100th day of school is always exciting! The James Fallon K-Wrap class colored and cut their own 100 day hats as part of the celebration. Fruit loops were counted and sorted by color into groups of ten and then used to make necklaces. After making more groups of tens with Q-tips, the students painted colorful 100 day pictures.

The Lafayette AM K-Wrap class paired up with 4th

graders for a shared Science day. During their

lesson on electricity, the students tested different

items to see if they would conduct electricity and

then recorded their results.

Students practiced their Site words and CVC words using the class smart table: have, he, no, for, with, on, all, said, up, us, with, in as, you, the, my.
