UNIFORM POLICY

At our most recent meeting on Monday 21st October,

School Council ratified an updated uniform policy for

our school. Please find this policy attached to today’s

newsletter.

Whilst there has been no change to the clothing that

makes up our school uniform, I wish to draw to the

attention of parents points in the policy related to

jewellery, cosmetics and the wearing of visible

under-garments beneath the school uniform.

I thank our families for their support in ensuring that

students attend school in school uniform.

Garden Science Program

Thank you to Tim McCrohan for putting the soil into the new garden bed ready for planting. The Grade 3/4 students requested colour so using the Bendigo Northern District Community Enterprises grant, I purchased a large variety of colourful plants, especially ones that attract butterflies. The Grade 3/4 students had a lovely session planting up the garden outside their classroom. The other students, armed with butterfly nets and magnifying glasses headed off for a bug hunt around the school ground. Not only did we find lots of different types of invertebrates but we found a gecko and a pobblebonk frog. The students discussed "good insects" vs.

"bad insects" and how they affect our lives.
