Not only have the Diamix L and Compamix L mixing/thermoregulating valves a fixed point regulation function, butthey also feature a specific software which allows the servocontrol to independently carry out all the thermal disinfection processesin plants with recirculation rings, thus significantly reducing the danger of outbreak and proliferation of legionella bacteria.There are so many variables connected to the construction of plants where our equipment can be implemented, that it isimpossible to totally rule out the risk.This version is completed by two semi-conductor temperature feelers: one on the mixed way - for normal regulation - and one on thefinal section of the recirculation ring - for sampling during the thermal disinfection process. The disinfection function can be startedmanually or be programmed weekly/daily: the default value is during the night between Sunday and Monday at 2:00 AM, because,statistically, this is the time users draw less water. This function can be turned off, if desired. The duration of the disinfection depends on the characteristics of the installation, becausethe Legionella bacterium reacts differently according to the maximum temperature reached in the final section of the ring. The higherthe temperature, the shorter the disinfection process: • more than 70°C - the disinfection takes 30 minutes • 65°C to 70°C - the disinfection takes 60 minutes • 60°C to 65°C - the disinfection takes 120 minutes • 57,5°C to 60°C - the disinfection takes 180 minutes • 65°C to 57.5°C - the disinfection takes 240 minutesThe valve features a relay which supplies the recirculation pump during the disinfection and outlet signals which trigger in case offailure, for instance if the disinfection process cannot be completed because the reached water temperature isn’t high enough. Thevalve carries out a test to check that the procedure has been properly carried out according to the set criteria. At the end of the di-sinfection process the valve resumes its mixing function. In order to avoid scalds, if water is drawn during the thermal disinfectionprocess, it is advisable to install an anti-scald safety device for each user.

You can download our DimMix software at www.comparato.com,: it will help youmake the right choice.When replacing thermostatic mixers in existing systems, you need to check the presence ofsanitary recirculation, as per the diagram, and choose the valve body diameter according tothe Kvs values (see the table of fluid-dynamic features).BUFFER TANKIf necessary, it is possible to mount a buffer tank (2) on the outlet pipeline. This will avoidany fluctuation of the reference temperature value when the drawing flow is very low. Its useis recommended when the water volume inside the recirculation plant is limited.Here you can find the capacity values of the buffer tank recommended based on the diame-ters of the mixing valves.

Should power fail, the actuator remains in the position it waswhen the power outage occurred.When the power is restored, the servocontrol resumes its normaloperation keeping the programmed settings.

Anti-legionella cycle control of sanitary recirculation pump:the contact closes when the anti-legionella bacterium disinfectioncycle is active. This allows to force the activation of the recircu-lation pump, which must be ON while the cycle is carried out.Caution: Diamix L and Compamix L can work with the sanitarywater recirculation pump active 24h a day. It is possible to ma-nage the recirculation pump according to a time schedule, usingthe relevant timer (not included).
