Creating Exams: the Dos Don’ts and the Dealbreakers
Session Goals
• Review the process for creating an exam with DataDirector.
• This session will highlight the things that users should and shouldn’t do when creating an exam.
Do put the academic year in the title
Don’t have more than 6 response choices
Dealbreaker you must select Yes in the “filled by teacher” section
Do rename the question numbers
Don’t have any two fields the same
Dealbreaker you must put an asterisk* in the answer key for rubric questions
Do follow the directions
Don’t forget to have the following options selected
Dealbreaker make sure the “approve blank answers” option is NOT checked
