In its broadest sense , data acquisition is the process of gathering information in an automated fashion from analog and digital measurement sources and presenting that information in meaningful way.

By using of electronic device it sends a data to the furnace so that it automatically stop working

HEART BEAT MONITOR
Sensor fusion algorithm allow these monitors to detect core temperature and dehydration

This signal can be simple radio pulse or a unique coded signal from the chest.
