Hi DarrenI just wanted to say a massive thank you! ‘Y’ & ‘X’ have been showing me their workbooks for tech as they are impressed with the work that they have achieved and it’s so nice to see them enthusiastic about work!

I understand you have been rewarding them with points for every page they complete and it has certainly worked! Almost every morning in reg last week they were keen to show me how their work is progressing. I also have a star reward chart in my room and they are now all in competition to see who can reach 100 points first!

Thank you – it’s been a great boost for the boys.

Impact of Super Learner Points!

Thanks very much for this update Katy. It is great to know they are as enthusiastic outside of the lesson as they are in the lesson. The turn around in X has been outstanding. He is staying after school this Thursday until 6pm again with me too. I also put an excel chart on the board which documents each individual’s progress which is really motivating them, as well as introducing some healthy competitiveness. I think I might do something similar with the star system in tutor times. The boys in my tutor group especially are loving the R points. I struggle to take the register once they all get their daily update (-: great to see this enthusiasm in such a vital year!Thanks again.Darren
