Darius Kohan, MD Dr. Darius Kohan is a graduate of New York University School of Medicine and was board certified as an otolaryngologist in 1990 following completion of his residency training at the same institution. He acquired specialized advanced training in Otology and Neurotology (disease of the ear and surgical/medical management) during his fellowship at New York University Medical Center. Currently, Dr. Kohan is Associate Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology at New York University School Medicine, Director of Otology/Neurotology at Lenox Hill Hospital/Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital (MEETH), Medical Co-Director of the Center for Communication (the former League for the Hard of Hearing), and voluntary attending surgeon at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Kohan is involved in educating medical students and residents at these institutions. In addition, he is involved in several research projects in Otology/Neurotology. Dr. Kohan has authored several books, numerous articles, and contributes as editor to several specialty periodicals. He has given several courses and lectured extensively on his field of expertise – Otology/Neurotology. He was elected to the medical board at Beth Israel Medical Center in 1994. Dr. Kohan participated in several national committees of the American Academy of Otolaryngology including SiPac Educational Committee, Hearing Subcommittee, and Implantable Device Committee. He is the Governor of the New York Otologic Society.
