TCDSB locations

• Msgr. Fraser – Norfinch (former Regina Pacis) –

can accommodate entire Dante population

without need for portables, currently

operating, no modifications required

• Don Bosco – decision on use of this building is

required as soon as possible to allow TCDSB to

make use of site for other opportunities.

• TCDSB is actively looking for opportunities at

TDSB sites should they become available.

RELOCATION OPTIONS

Feedback Summary – Feb. 10

• Questions included priorities in accommodating students,

transportation and relocation options

• Majority preferred to explore ways to stay on site (while also

recognizing redevelopment would take longer)

• Majority felt relocation options were not viable

• From presented options, Bosco was preferred

• If relocating, hybrid of central pick-ups and ttc tickets

• No access to Change rooms/Showers for 6 months

• Art Rooms/Library out of use for 6 months

• More classrooms out of use

Remain On Site Considerations: Year 2 to Completion

• No additional student transportation

• Maintains existing campus style approach to elementary/secondary

• Minimal parking available on site (potentially 30 spots).

• Drop off for Regina Mundi; located in front of school on Playfair.

• Bell times adjustment to offset traffic flow on site.

REGINA WOULD OCCUPY: DANTE WOULD OCCUPY:

• 1st and 2nd

• Part of 3rd floor

• Part of 3rd floor

• Existing & additional portables (potential cost of $1.2 M)

• Good Shepherd & Leased space (Cost TBD)

• Gym space required by both schools

• Music program would be shared space

• Play space and field reduced

• Interaction between Elementary/Secondary students will increase

over existing setup, but will be minimized through careful planning

• Moving required in all phases of construction.

• Yr. 1 – Dante vacate ground floor, some 2nd and 3rd floor rooms under

construction

• Yr. 2 and 3 – Dante relocate to portables, GS etc., Regina moves in

• Yr. 4 – Dante to new building
