run a randomized control trial (RCT) of Act and Adapt in Chicago Public Schools.

• Conduct surveys with 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students in Chicago Public Schools.

• Create, edit, and maintain Qualtrics surveys and databases for the lab.

• Supervision of undergraduate students in the lab; assign and monitor progress on tasks.

poverty both domestically and internationally. As a fellow I received training and support to

become a skilled advocate. I learned to effectively advise/lobby policy makers to guide them

towards decisions that improve access to education, health, and economic opportunity.

• Received a grant to attend the RESULTS International Conference in Washington D.C.

2014 Emerging Scholar

The Emerging Scholars Fellowship is a program of Active Minds, Inc. dedicated to supporting

behavioral health research by providing an opportunity for students to complete grant funded

research projects and to be connected with a network of young scholars and national experts.

• Received a $750 dollar grant to work on the project and also a $250 dollar grant to attend

the Health Minds Network Symposium in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

• Chosen out of a competitive group for independent research being conducted at

Roosevelt University for my honors thesis; one of only two undergraduates selected.
