In a reissue, this movie joins 6 new films, all using the music of Stephen Sondheim, in both vocal and instrumental arrangements. Using video as a part of the creative process, the intention of Dances for an iPhone is to explore dance on camera in a deeper way. The introduction of the iPhone proved a starting point to the presentation of modern dance on an accessible digital device. The rules have always been about providing an intimate experience of dance, simple production values, available light and a hand-held camera.

Features six movies of five extraordinarily accomplished dancers: Carmen de Lavallade, Deborah Jowitt, Regina Larkin, Christine Redpath, and Megan Williams. The Baryshnikov Arts Center named Richard Daniels an artist in residence in order to create this volume. *No longer available on iTunes

Consistent with Volume 1, Volume 2 is an eclectic series of dance movies featuring: Molissa Fenley, Margie Gillis, Stephen Pier and Miki Orihara, Risa Steinberg, and Christine Wright. *Available on iTunes through October 2014

An all-Scriabin prelude suite. Drawn from original improvisational material by Richard Daniels, four other dancers interpret that original material in seven movies. Those performers include: David Leventhal, Barbara Mahler, Jason McDole, and Christine Wright.
