In 2012 Damien was selected by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival to perform in their exclusive showcase of Australia’s best emerging comedians, The Comedy Zone. Later in the year he was nominated for Best Comedy at the Sydney Fringe Festival for his solo show Monkeys in Space. The following year, Damien completed a sold-out run of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and was nominated for the prestigious Best Newcomer Award. As a result of his work in Melbourne, he was hand-picked to support Jack Black’s group Tenacious D all around the country.

2014 saw Damien return to the festival circuit with a new live show, Keit, and gigging all over Australia. Highlights included supporting Doug Stanhope in Brisbane and Adelaide, performing a knockout set for Just For Laughs at the Sydney Opera

Damien toured his raw, assured and Barry-nominated hour of Power – I Can’t Believe I Cared – to audiences around Australia and the world in 2015. Having gigged around South-East Asia, Edinburgh and to the invitation-only ComedyTrain International Summer Festival in Amsterdam, Damien stormed the 2016 festival scene with his latest offering: Sell Mum Into Slavery. This show saw him nominated for the Barry award for the second year running. The ABC then selected Damien and his show to be filmed as part of their Next Gen series, that will air on Australian screens in late 2016. Damien was invited back to perform a new set at Just For Laughs Sydney.
