As an Industrial Designer my aim is to identify consumer’s problems to create insights as starting point and, through a process that involves design thinking, team management, sketching and CAD modelling, translate those conceptual thoughts into the best possible solutions, both technically and aesthetically.

I truly believe that design matters and that it is the key to make the difference between a bad and good product and, even, between a good and an excellent product. That’s why I think that proactivity is vital to reach that excellence, always willing to go that extra mile in order to be able to design products that would count and make that difference.

This project is a collaboration with Goat, a new and innovative Spanish longboard company based in Nava-rra. The main objective was develop new concepts of longboard taking the brand’s icon, the Goat Zero 1, as a starting point.

The Goat Trazer is specifically designed for traceurs, the followers of the parkour’s philosophy: going from one point to another as fluently as possible by using only the body skills to avoid the obstacles in the path.

The aim of the Goat Trazer is to incorporate the amazing parkour spirit to the longboard. Due to the amortiguation technology and the carbon fiber body tested by “IXO Carbon” the Trazer is ready to stand the fallings and spectacular acrobatics of these artists of the asphalt.

El objetivo principal de este proyecto fue el de proponer nuevos conceptos funcionales de longboard partiendo del primer modelo comercializado por Goat: la Zero 1. La Goat Trazer es una tabla diseñada específicamente para los traceurs, los dinámicos y atléticos seguidores de la filosofía del parkour que consiste en desplazarse de un punto a otro lo más fluidamente posible, usando principalmente las habilidades del cuerpo humano para superar obstáculos que se presenten en el recorrido.

Gracias a su tecnología de amortiguación y a la cons-trucción en fribra de carbono revisada por IXO Ingenie-ría, la Trazer está preparada para soportar las caídas y las espectaculares acrobacias de estos artistas del asfalto.

This project is a collaboration with Enertres, an Spanish company who sells eco-friendly climatization systems based on pumping geothermal heat from the ground. In this case the objetive of the project was to design an entire family of products in 3 differents sizes:

The main characteristic of the Thalass concept is the contrast between the sharp lines of the body and the soft sinuosity present on the central chromed element, which suggests the wavy surface of the water and gives the product a modern but crafted look.

Este proyecto es una colaboración con la compañía gallega Enertres dedicada a la comercialización de sistemas integrales de climatización eficiente con ener-gías renovables.En este caso el objetivo del proyecto era el de diseñar una familia de bombas de calor geotérmico en 3 tama-ños diferentes:

El concepto Thalass presenta como principal caracte-rística una marcada contraposición entre las líneas an-gulosas y afiladas que definen la carcasa y las suaves y sinuosas que predominan en el elemento cromado central, el cual parece evocar la superficie del agua.

The Oxygen concept for Disashop it is a pay&display terminal wich has a bill receiver and two 12” and 8” tac-tile screens for user interaction and operator confirma-tion, respectively.

The aim for the Oxygen design was to remove all the superfluous elements which may suggest heavyness, giving the product a light, ethereal and smart look, crea-ting the effect that the screen is floting over the counter.Both the rounded shapes and colours has been chosen to be coherent with Disashop’s Corporate Identity in order to be as quickly recognizable as possible.

El concepto Oxygen para Disashop es un terminal TPV de sobremesa para punto de venta y cobro que cuen-ta con un receptor de billetes y dos pantallas táctiles de 12 y 8 pulgadas para la interacción del cliente y la confirmación de la operación por parte del operario, respectivamente.

La premisa para el diseño de Oxygen se basa en eliminar todos los elementos superfluos que pudieran sugerir pesadez, confiriéndole al terminal un aspecto ligero, etéreo y moderno.Tantos las formas rendondeadas como los colores y materiales han sido escogidos para mantener una co-herencia visual con la identidad corporativa de Disas-hop, de forma que sea reconocible lo más rápidamente posible.

The objective of this collaboration project with Blusens was to develop a new concept of remote control spe-cifically designed for Smart TV maintaining a low cost profile. This requirement would automatically eliminate the possibility of a tactile screen and would lead to a search for an unexpensive but suitable solution.

The innovation on this project comes from taking the classic illuminated keyboard as starting point and adding an extra LED bulb in a sepparaetd cavity under-neath every button so each LED illuminates only half of it. Therefore just by selecting the pertinent mode the Janus will use the same buttons to display two diffe-rent keyboards for two different purposes: a QWERTY keyboard optimized for Internet usage and the classic TV/DVD controller.

El objetivo principal de este proyecto con Blusens era el de diseñar un nuevo concepto de mando a distancia específico para la Smart TV que incluyera la posibilidad de navegar por Internet teniendo en cuenta la permi-sa principal del precio económico, lo que anulaba la posibilidad de funcionalidades táctiles y nos obligaba a optar por los clásicos botones analógicos.

Con el objetivo de simplificar el diseño y optimizar el uso, el mando Janus ofrece la posibilidad de utilizar los mismos botones para dos funciones completamente diferentes. Basta seleccionar el modo correspondiente y un sistema dual de LEDs situado bajo cada botón, permitirá alternar entre un teclado QWERTY optimizado para la navegación a través de Internet, y la clásica disposición de botones para el manejo de TV/DVD.

Tanagra is much more than a car, it’s a whole state-ment for individuals for which conformism is never a choice, but instead, always search for identuty and for the best suitable option.With a lenght of 3,33 metres, the Tanagra has born to become the new lord of the city thanks to its great ver-satility, its small size and it’s smart design.

Tanagra es un concepto de coche concebido como una escultura, pero no una escultura creada por la mano del Hombre sino por el de la Naturaleza. El concepto busca captar la esencia de la primigenia simplicidad de las formas brutas de la Naturaleza, las que conservan su autenticidad y pureza... y ¿qué hay más puro que el Agua? El concepto Tanagra toma sus formas del líquido elemento cuando las temperaturas bajan significativa-mente: Las formas sinuosas y redondeadas recuerdan a la nieve virgen mientras que las superficies faceta-das y de líneas angulosas toman su forma del hielo, material generador de algunas de las estructuras más perfectas e impresionantes de la Tierra.

Tanagra es mucho más que un coche, es toda una declaración de intenciones para aquellos que no se conforman con cualquier cosa, que buscan diferenciar-se eligiendo siempre la mejor opción posible.

DAYSIGN is an online magzine that aims to offer the most impotant news in the design, architecture and technology world scene from a new, young and dinamic perspective.

The Daysign project begins in November 2012 in collaboration with Alejandro Estevez and Giselle Jonte, colleagues from the Design School EUDI in Ferrol (Spain), as a response to the absence of a design digital magazine in spanish language. Since then the team has grown from 3 to 9 and the project has seen the release of 3 online magazine with dawnload option (the last one on Decembre 2013 obtai-ned more than 42000 views), more than 100 articles on the blog www.daysign.es, more than 1300 followers on twitter and interviews with first line designers from the national and internationl scene like Aitor García de Vicu-ña, CEO of the AGV studio, awarded at the Shanghai International Furniture Fair in 2012; José A. González, designer at Yamaha Design Lab in Hamamastu (Ja-pan); Pablo Crespo Pita CEO of Imaisde Design Studio or dutch designer Ronald Knol, CEO of RKNL Furniture.

As Magazine Layout Director mi job is to supervise, manage and layout the graphic apearance of both the magazine and the website.

El proyecto DAYSIGN nace en Noviembre de 2012 en colaboración con Alejandro Estévez Landeira y Giselle Jonte Beceiro, alumnos de la EUDI (Ferrol), como res-puesta a la ausencia de una revista digital en español sobre el mundo del diseño, viendo publicado su primer número en la web con opción de descarga. Actualmente la revista cuenta con 3 números digitales (el último en Diciembre de 2013 con más de 42000 lecturas), más de 100 artículos publicados en el blog www.daysign.es, más de 1300 seguidores en Twitter y un equipo de 9 personas.

La revista digital cuenta con entrevistas a profesionales del diseño y arquitectura de primer nivel como Aitor García de Vicuña, fundadaor del estudio AGV y galardo-nado en la Feria Internacional del Mueble de Shanghai en 2012; José A. González, diseñador en el Yamaha Design lab de Hamamatsu (Japón); Pablo Crespo Pita fundador del estudio coruñés Imaisde o el diseñador holandés Ronald Knol, fundador de RKNL Furniture.

Como Jefe de Maquetación y Diseño mi labor en la revista se centra, aparte de escribir artículos, en las ta-reas de maquetación y supervisión del aspecto estético presente tanto en la web como en la revista digital.

The Mezzo chair captures the essence of the classic smoking chair, the Chester, and adapts it to the XXI cen-tury for a new generation, with new needs and aesthetic sensibility, to enjoy it.

In a world saturated with vintage references the MEZZO chair offers a new vision that, while honores the Past, has the eyes fixed on the Future. Just in the middle. Just in MEZZO.

The material selected for the exterior coating of the chair was an inyected foam Flex Plus, a high-density foam extensively used in the furniture design industry.The interior estructure it’s made by a injection-moulded reusable polipropilene wich offers the posibility to pro-duce the chair in different colorus at low cost.

La butaca MEZZO toma la esencia de la “smoking chair” clásica, la butaca Chester y la transporta al siglo XXI haciéndosela llegar a una nueva generación de usuarios que, aun disfrutando de los placeres de siem-pre, vive de una forma completamente distinta, con unas nuevas necesidades y un nuevo gusto estético.

Para el recubrimiento exterior de la silla se ha optado el foam inyectado Flex Plus, una espuma de gran densi-dad que está haciendo furor entre los diseñadores de mobiliario más vanguardistas.Para la fabricación de la parte interior que forma la estructura de la silla se ha optado por un procedimiento de moldeado por inyección con polipropileno totalmen-te reciclable, que permite producirla en varios colores a un precio económico.

In a world saturated with unattractive and function-focused technology, the aim of the Beocom Zero is to regain that lost sense of elegance and to turn a normal device into a unique functional decoration piece.

El Beocom Zero es un nuevo concepto de telefono inalámbrico diseñado siguiendo los principios básicos de la filosofía de diseño de Bang & Olufsen, basada en combinar una estética escultórica con un manejo sencillo e intuitivo. En un mundo saturado con tecnología poco atractiva y dermasiado técnica, el Beocom Zero pretende retomar la perdida elegancia y transformar un dispositivo tecno-lógico en una pieza funcional de decoración exclusiva.

En la actualidad hay muchos aparatos en el mercado que incluyen la función de despertador, pero la opción snooze está siempre ahí para echarlo todo a perder...

Orb es un nuevo concepto de despertador diseñado para esos dormilones a los que les cuesta levantarse de la cama. Orb funciona como un teléfono normal, con las esfera metálicas sujetas por imanes indicando la hora, hasta que la alarma suena y las esferas caen de su lugar. Entnces la única forma de detener la alarma es utilizar toda tu habilidad para colocar las esferas de nuevo en sus huecos.

Orb is a new concept of alarm clock designed for those sleepyheads who have a really hard time waking up every morning.

Orb functions as a normal table clock where the metal spheres held by magnets point the hour. When the alarm goes on the magnets go back and the spheres fall. The only way to stop the alarm is to use your skill to place the spheres back on their holes.

El rasgo identificativo es la repetición del elemento me-tálico que hace las veces de pata y de pieza para crear el capitoné.

This piece of forniture is designed to fit into modern and sleek interiors in both private or public spaces such clubs, libraries or museums. The distinctive feature of this chaise longue is the repetition of the metalic element that serves both the function of structural support and element to create a padded upholstery.

Este concepto de estantería se caracteriza por estar construida por una única pieza mecanizada de forma que de la impresión de estar plegada. Mientras que la parte que da al exterior se puede usar para colocar objetos como cualquier estantería, la parte interio que miraría a la pared puede albergar una serie de cajones que, además, aportan un interesante con-traste de color y/o material.

This concept of shelf features a single piece of material crafted to create the impresion of a folded surface. While the space facing the exterior can be used as a normal shelf, the space that faces the wall can be used to place a set of drawers that can also add an interes-ting colour/material contrast.
