Welsh HIV nurse Marcus McGilvray

• Main centre in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa: highest HIV prevalence in the world (40.7%)

• Uses health clinic, football training and other programmes to deliver HIV prevention, treatment and support to young people (16,147 in 2013)

Comics drawing project:• In 2012, I designed a series of

comics drawing workshops for WKU

• Participants share their experiences of HIV with counsellors and each other

• A collection of some of the work is used to inform other young people in the area about HIV prevention and WKU services
