◆ Automatic Mode The plant is designed for automatic starting and stopping via the control module and monitors the utility supply.The module will start the generating set on under/over voltage or under/over frequency conditions.

When the generator is up to speed and voltage the control module will signal automatic transfer switch-gear totransfer the load to the generator.

While the generator is running all protections are monitored and in the event of a fault a shutdown is initiatedclearly indicating the cause of the problem.

On restoration of the utility supply, the generator would synchronise to the utility supply and the load would beautomatically transferred back to the utility before opening the generator circuit breaker. The generator will thenshut down after a cool down run and await the next utility failure.

◆ Manual Mode Manual operation of the equipment is available in order to affect a simple test run. Manual start is selected fromthe control panel and the equipment will start and run up to full speed and voltage. It is possible to synchroniseto the utility supply via the controller so that the generator can be tested using the site load.

The equipment will continue to run until the stop push button in the control panel is pressed, normally no loadwill be supported during this operation except if peak lopping/load testing is selected in this mode, however,should the utility fail during this period the equipment will operate as if in the automatic mode.

Activating the stop push button will shut down the equipment immediately, with no cool down period.

◆ Synchronising The Secure Series of containerised generators include synchronising control across the plant mounted air circuit breaker, these facilities include multi generator paralleling, no break parallel with the utility and soft re-transfer following a utility outage. The secure generators have fitted double capacity output bus barsenabling single load cable connection to reduce the site installation costs and time.

◆ Remote monitoring Remote monitoring and control of Secure Power Series generators is available via secure internet link. Thisenables a text message alarm facility, for low fuel level for example, and constant or intermittent monitoring from almost any location. This system also provides security of the asset by utilising the remote monitoringsystem and GPS technology to identify movement and location of the generator containers.
