Saturday, January 1, 1870
Very pleasant most the day & warm but rain some this eve.See to the store mail & c. Helped Emeline some movetables, stove & c & c. Chored about house & c. Finishedfixing my buggy. Jos went to Boston. John & Sara went
home in A.M. Meeting down stairs this eve.
Sunday 240
Very stormy most all day, driving rain storm. Warm. Beento meeting all day, was but few went. Rev. J. Merrell
preached. No meeting this eve.
Monday 335
Very pleasant but windy, warm. Helped about the washingsome & chored about. Went up to Hermons & got my ax,shoes & loaded 1156 ft of lumber & carried to Metcalfs millFranklin. Stoped & got my oxan shod all around at Mr. __?

Monday, January 10, 1879
Cloudy & snowed a little most all day. Cold. Chored about.
Cleaned a tub for my beef & some other tubs & c. Cut uppart of it.
Tuesday 1126
Very pleasant & warm. Chored about some. Carried somebeef to Asa Sargent & went to Franklin with a load oflumber from Crooks mill & Dea. Pond went with an ox load& brought back a load, 8 hs, hay to Mancy Daniels. Ihelped load & brought home some black __?__. I helpedload & brought hams for Jos.
Wednesday 1234
Rained some in the morn but cleared off. Very warm &clouded up again. Is muddy. I chored about some. Went &loaded a load of lumber at Canneys mill for the horse &went & helped Dea. Pond load an ox load at Crookses mill& carried to Franklin & got an ox load of hay for MancyDaniels. I came home with it & Dea. Pond came with thehorse.

Cloudy & Stormy P.M. Rain is warm & muddy. Choredabout. Fixed pieces for ox slead & fixed a Rocking chair.Cleaned up horse barn some & c & c. Jos had horse to go toMrs. Scotts & oxan to cary 2 load of 10 M shingle to J. M.Pherson.
Friday 1419
Cold & cloudy & snowed a little most all day. Chored aboutsome & went with the oxan to carry the last of our foxlumber to Metcalf. Called & see Mrs. Fisher & at store
jewelers & Uncle Nathan & brought home a load of Blackwalnut for Joseph from Hubbards mill.
Saturday 15
Stormy most all day, a little snow & rain. Froze as it camerain this eve. See to the store, mail & c. Jos & Abbie went toBoston. Fixed pieces from my ox slead. Helped Emeline
