Project thoughts
Should take about 60 hours per person That’s 15 hours per week
Ideas A game of some kind. 3-D games preferred, but 2-D may be
allowable. Making stuff with fractals -- mountains, clouds, terrain, etc. (same
algorithm can do both). Today’s lecture discusses fractals Procedural modeling (sea shells (siggraph paper from '92), more
complex stuff). Today’s lecture will see this as well. 4-D fractals using quarternions -- how do you visualize it in 3D? Morphing (totally 2-D). Or any sort of sophisticated image
processing Extend a ray tracer Ideas from the research talks next week
