The DataReal World Learning At A Glance● Over 600 DV students have participated in Work Experience or Internship

opportunities● Over 60 Industry and Community partners active for the 16-17 school year alone● Nearly 120,000 hours of community service have been completed by DV students

since Fall 2012● Real World Learning participation rates are higher than the DV average for female

students, Latino and African American students, as well as socio-economically disadvantaged and first-generation College going students

College Outcomes● 99% of Real World Learning students graduate CSU/UC eligible● 77% of Real World graduates were accepted to a 4-year university, slightly higher

than their DV peers● 85% of Real World Learning students enroll in college directly after high school

and are more likely than their peers to enroll in college● 71% of Real World graduates persist in college enrollment for a third year of

school, a rate 6% higher than DV grads who did not participate in the program
