more articlesCHOC crafts night was a regional event, it was held in CHOC Children’s Hospital around 5p.m. Although there weren’t a lot of volunteers for a re-gional event, it was still fun to make crafts for these children.

We were put into groups of 4-5 and each group had an assigned crafts to make for the children to make. It’s not as confusing as it sounds. Each group had to cut and create a bag full of supplies need to created a Valentine’s craft.

Our group was to make a puppy face with a heart shaped face and nose. They supplied us with an ample amount of colorful construction paper and other art supplies like scissors and crayons.

We had to cut out the hearts and make 150 heart shaped faces, nose, We had to cut out the hearts and make 150 heart shaped faces, nose, and ears and two googley eyes. My favorite part was the googley eyes. They came in different colors and sizes. It was fun for me to pick out the ones to put into the craft bags for the kids. I made sure I pick the pretty colors and the ones big enough for them so they don’t have trouble gluing them on the dog.

They also gave us pizza for dinner. Sadly, we were only given one slice, which wasn’t enough for me. Still it was nice they provided us with food. �

I really liked how nice and helpful the staff was. We were able to more bags for all the groups in less than an hour. We were able to make 150 bags of crafts in 2 hours.
